You are doing the kid's homework?????;););)

Not been around much this week - DH has had a week off so has been doing little bits and pieces around the house! It looks much better :j:j, but a large part of me can't wait for him to go back to work on monday!

I have signed up fot a 10 mile Hawaiian themed midnight walk for our local hospice in June! I reckon I can walk 10 miles, but I'm normally in the land of nod at nidnight! It will be 'interesting!'

And DD1 has said twice that she's proud of me! That's a first!

I mean supervise their homework! Although most of the long term homework would put blue Peter Tracy Island as a walk in the park.

Talking of walks, your walk sounds great. You will be surprised how the energy and enthusiasm gets you through. I loved doing the Moonwalks. 10 miles is a nice distance you won't get killer blisters!

Washing machine churning, cake just came out of the oven.

Appointment at the bank didn't happen as he wasn't there. Seriously unimpressed.

You did well in your 2HC, mrs-mp :T

I vacuumed upstairs and downstairs before I went out in the garden, so started on the shed a bit later than planned, but it is now tidy - I even swept the floor and got rid of the spiders' webs on the windows! I've also
    - moved all the sacks of compost and swept the leaves from behind them
    - decided to put 2 ancient wheelbarrows on eB@y for 99p each, so that I don't have to take them to the tip
    - pruned back the wispy ends of the wisteria
    - chopped back the winter jasmine to about 6" from the wall - it's still got lots of flowers on it
    - chopped back the summer jasmine so that it doesn't look as dead as it did(it's actually full of life)
    - chatted to my neighbour and asked her to witness my signature on a legal document - no problem :)
    - decluttered lunch.

This afternoon I have 2 eB@y parcels to pack and post

I've just watched a male blackbird having a long bath - it's not nearly as cold outside as this time last week. I didn't even put on a jacket to work outdoors. The hellebores are beautiful, and the snowdrops are just peeking through the layer of dead leaves that I've left on the flowerbeds all winter, to keep the herbaceous plants warm.

:eek::eek: I've just seen a sparrowhawk swoop down and take one of our lovely long-tailed tits that was feeding on the fat block, then sit on the fence to eat his lunch - he's now moved up into a nearby tree :eek::eek: Nature can be so cruel :( but I suppose the sparrowhawk has to survive just like anything else. And now a red kite is flying over - that doesn't happen very often.

Why couldn't they all come on the Big Garden Birdwatch day?!?!?

Must get on with eB@ying now...

    Had a good sort out:

Found some more of DS's pants and socks he's outgrown and put in recycling
    Let chooks out
    Cleaned out chooks' nesting box
    Poo picked in the garden
Went through the baking drawer, emptied it completely and cleaned it and found 4 things I don't ever use and will take them to the tip for recycling
Found an old roller blind - too big to go in wheelie bin so that will go to the tip too
Found DD's old PJs and put them in for CS
    Sorted out washing
    Put wool wash on
    Brushed Pip

Now want to do a couple more things, vacuum round then grab a cup of tea and have a bit of time for myself - I'll need peace now so I can get through half term !! AF arrived this morning so being nice to myself.

    Hi all;

Still feeling a tad dizzy, but thankfully not as bad as yesterday - that was very unpleasant!

Mary's arrived, so we now have a nice new "carpet" of newspaper.:D

Miscalculation re her food - she's going to need 36 meals while she's here, and only has 29 with her; so email sent, does the agent want to drop in some more, or shall Mr LW pick some up in Mr T's and we reclaim the cost. Can't believe I can't add up (3 x 8) + 5 though!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Both the agent and I made it 39 when we counted (well, she said 39 and I just agreed). D'UH!!:wall::wall::wall:

Flying-wise.....um......zilch, I'm afraid  (well, I did it all yesterday!) Oh, unless you count Mary decluttering one of her meals - that little dog sure loves her food!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

KazM how is hubbie doing? Hoping he is on the mend

Exciting bird news, I may have had a nuthatch on my seed feeder.

Off to the corner shop now to buy a forgotten birthday card as my hips are stiff from sitting still.
