    I have a 27 month old. I do know.

    Just seems an odd arrangement!!!

Not odd at all!! This is how my partner, my MIL and FIL prefer it, they enjoy spending time with us.

  • So you go to your PILs house in the morning and sit there all day waiting for school to finish?

That is a bit harsh notanewuser. What option does she have if she has no access to transport to return to her own home in the morning. I am sure she would prefer to be in her own house rather than do this no matter how kind OH's family are. They are fortunate to have this backup.

Can't your son go to a school within walking distance (or at least a bus ride away)? The current arrangement seems overly stressful/complicated for you and your partner's sister. How do you get home?

Thank you sweetpea x If i'm honest, I prefer to be at my in-laws house with all my family than sat at home on my own with the baby, I use to be at home all the time when my other son was at nursery and I worked from home, it is rather lonely xxx My inlaws have a huge house, my partner is a twin and has 7 brothers and sisters so they have a big family with alot of love to give xx

Honestly Wilma it's not x It's rather easy, my partners sister picks me, my 6 yo and my baby up in the morning with her little one, then we go to my sons school then carry on to his school, then we go to her parents x She also has a baby so they interact together. My partner finishes at 4 when not on overtime and he comes to the house and we have tea then we go home afterwards. His parents wouldn't have it any other way xx

It was actually her idea to do it this way as she isn't having to travel out of her way to come to us, it's on her way x
