cosmetics at car boots

At least post 4 and 10 were helpful mike. The others were just trumpet blowing chitchat0

Now, I do buy make up from car boot sales/markets - only ever new (sealed) and never "high end" (whatever that may be
). My local boot sale has a "regular" and to give an example, were selling Rimmel Match Perfection at £2.50 last week (RRP £6.99). They stock both branded stuff and "cheapy" stuff (Constance Carroll type) and the cheapy stuff is usually around 50p - £1 (great for cheap & cheerful nail varnishes). I think they make some of their money up on "peripherals" (cotton wool pads/balls/make-up remover etc) because although it's "value" type range, they charge more than Mr T would IYSWIM.
Although I've never asked how great their profits are
they've been there for a couple of years, so must be doing something right. 0 -

No intention of answering the posted question. Just a snippet of your superior lifestyle.0 -
i for one would never buy make-up from boot sales or market stall, not even the cheap makes,i buy when boots or superdrug have deals on,and feel safer that way. Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

lol, thanks for the replys , macflys right though, what do your car boots roughly charge for stuff, im not bothered about what you normally buy, i can get loads of mac , chanel , dior stuff but i couldnt knock them out at car boots as there too expensive.(even the snides)
let me put it another way. i want to do this for extra cash as im getting married in august and the extra hundred quid will come in handy do people think its worth it or shall i steer clear.
if i was selling at two for a pound for unbranded and a pound each for branded from peoples experience, do you think i would make a decent profit.
i know its trial and error and i probably have to try it , but i am going to have to buy the stuff and dont want to waste money i0 -
My advice would be steer clear. You've heard from several of us ladies now that we wouldn't buy from boot sales, add to that the fact that the local pound shops will have the same things.
I can't see you making much more than your pitch tbh0 -
I would give in mike and change your thread to "should I bother".
Ignore booter, she's onviously not considered a "lady". Presumably because she answered your actual question.0
