Breaking wind in public. Do you or don't you?

I was serving a woman in work one day (she's mid 60s) and when she bent there was a creaking noise, she immediately said that was the table not me. I just said oh right i never noticed. Anyway a few minutes later there was a louder noise, mid sentence she said " that was me this time, what I had for lunch clearly doesn't agree with me" and continued talking.

The worst one is when someone walks over beside you in a crowded place, lets one rip and walks away. my sister always does this to me when we're out shopping, can't help but laugh though.

Thankyou all. Started reading this in tears after a crappy week caught up with me. Now chuckling away.

For the record, I am a better out than in with my hubby and kids, but rememeber when I was at my (very proper) sister in laws, been holding one in for ages and then moved...OOPS!! Her face was a picture trying to ignore it!!
She is now pregnant and tooted in a lift with a colleague!

I've got a toddler who does it loudly (thankfully muffled by a nappy!) And shouts 'I've got a stinky bum!' Often in public.

OH finds it funny to do it by the eggs in the supermarket. He says it puts people off buying them. The mind boggles.
