What about money! Chip and Pin machines! Doors in public buildings! OMG!

Those people who don't wash their hands go around touching other stuff as well, there's so little point in wasting energy worrying about 'poo germs' that its basically madness.

    Germaphobia really winds me up.

I know! You could go on for ever! Even wash your shopping before you put it in your cupboards :rotfl::rotfl: And what about the money in your pocket or your purse? I could be endless! :rotfl::rotfl:

Why though? What difference does it make to your life?

I personally couldn't care less if somebody wants to flick a light switch off 10 times before they leave their house, or constantly apply hand gel, makes no difference to my life whatsoever.

Some people don't like snakes, some people don't like the sun, some people don't like the cold, some people don't like sand.

Everybody has their own likes and dislikes, and for the most part these have little to no effect on other people. It must be really wearing to care so much about other people's harmless likes and dislikes.

Its all contributing to the rise of multi resistant organisms, that'll affect us all eventually.
  • I have always thought that a companies facilities reflect on that company.

You can tell if the company is rich or poor

you can tell they totally respect the needs of visitors – customers – employees

it should be law, any company open for more than 7 hours should provide, a decent standard for canteen and toilets, rest rooms and sick or first aid provision.

Years ago people used to spend more hours in work, than at home, if the work place is a pleasure to work in, not a chore, we would have less stress, less fatigue, less apathy

That IMO is mainly due to the overuse/incorrect use of antibiotics in densely populated areas rather than people being more hygienic.

It's the people who won't use the brush provided to clear away the skid marks who annoy me !

Germophobia in general is contributing too. Look at the huge rise of things like antibacterial handgels and cleaning products.

We really can't let madness like flushing toilets with your feet and refusing to touch door handles become the 'new normal' as it seems to have in America.

I have been known to do ALL of the above, depending how bad my emetophobia is. (Extreme fear of vomiting). It really is debilitating at times.:o

This is correct; too many people demanding antibiotics and the overuse of them is causing resistant nasties, not people like us!
People would probably call me mental too because I wet the loo roll, wipe the seat, cover with loo roll. Afterwards I flush (in the normal way!) wash hands and use a tissue to dry hands and touch the door handle. Yes this is all a bit OCD but if people weren't so disgusting in the first place I would not need to!

It's taken me a full 5 minutes to compose myself having read this thread. I've been crying with laughter.

All I can think about whilst reading and giggling is this scene from the film Bridesmaids :rotfl::rotfl:
