    Erm, that's what I said!

Ooh, touchy, just had a rescan of the thread, have not noticed where that was mentioned, just that you want the boiler moving, if someone already has an open vent system then the tanks are already there, and unless they are going to use the space created by the removal of the tanks, then seems an unecessary waste of time and money :o

  • So, I know this has been covered in muliple threads, multiple times, but im gonna go ahead and ask the question....

Would I be better of switching to a combi or staying with the conventional system?

From what ive read, this seems to be mainly down to personal preference?

The house is a 3 bed detached, with 1 bathroom and 1 shower room. 2 adults. 1 baby.

It has been covered numerous times as there is no definate answer and is a personal choice thing.
For me, if the hot water storage tank was removed, the space gained is not useable eg shower area, so for my circumstance there is no gain in changing to a combi system, the how water used in the day was heated from the previous evening so I'm not heating the water again.

  • Company have just requoted £1900 + Vat to have the combi boiler installed in the kitchen instead of the airing cupboard. This seems more acceptable to me
