Grammar debate still hobbling along here? What a crushing bore.

Why do people care? It seems to me its just a really easy way of feeling superior to other posters.

I write for a living and unless I'm being paid, I ain't checking my grammar.

Forums are where we discuss and relax, I'm sure most people can understand what's being written even with grammatical errors.

It's because it wasn't just a missing apostrophe here and there, it's that it made it genuinely difficult to read and makes the posts look worse than if a child had attempted to write them.
  • How stupid.
If there's a family needing a 3 bed house and you have one yet have a room empty, of course you should move to a smaller place!

As a matter of interest if you suffer a tragic death in the family how long till they start charging you? Is there a grace period? It would be harsh if you lost a relative so no longer fit the criteria for the house and lost your benefit

Dismissing people as "posh boys" and "rich boys" within a rant is not reverse snobbery? OP should not dish out what he cannot take.

Is it a housing crisis, or a population crisis?

I hope the Government will give people who have suffered a bereavement two years' grace before trying to persuade them to move to a smaller property.
