No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in Feb

Finally had a UU this month! I am getting close with a few items but yesterday I finished a tube of Bliss Maximum Moisture Body Butter in vanilla and bergamot.
Absolutely love this stuff, makes my skin soft and absorbs super quick, no greasy after feel. Unfortunately the price is about £18, so going to look out for it on offer or in a gift set after I've used my soap and glory stash.
Had two INs yesterday as well (it was payday!). A Naked Hair conditioner for sensitive scalps. Used it last night and it was quite nice, my hair feels quite silky this morning too. Also someone mentioned it looked blonder. Bonus!
Usually I use Philip Kingsley, but its about £14 for the conditioner which I can't justify at the mo. Will always stick with the Philip Kingsley shampoo as its the only thing that doesnt irritate my psoriasis but i figured I could try and cheaper conditioner.
Also bought an Essie nail polish in Lovie Dovie (or something like that). Its a barbie pink shade, and I love it!0 -
Even a short period of wearing gel colour caused me some problems, added to that I have some difficulty absorbing nutrients, so although they look fantastic on I don't go that route now.
Have a look at this LEF article (reputable organisation), not suggesting that you buy all the nutrients listed, but you may be able to tweak your diet to include more of the relevant ones. Personally from time to time I use a good multi vit and mineral and also biotin - although Biotin can increase hair growth, so anyone who has a problem with facial hair might want to avoid it.

I would also suggest using a good cuticle oil/cream as many times a day as you can fit in, as well as the hydration, masssaging it in will help blood flow.
Thank you I will have a closer look at that tonight, really fed up with them at the moment.0 -
hugs to those who need it.
I'm catching up to the thread finally as I have the day off (party! lol)
and I have the following UU's:
* 4x ebay sales
* last nights UU's: lush golden wonder - I have been saving this bath bomb since christmas as I wanted to save it, but from recent posts, I have decided to take a very "pink candle" approach to my stash. No longer will I hoard and save things as you never know what's going to happen and I'm no longer going to hang onto things that "weigh" me down and prevent me from appreciating the better things in my stash. carpe diem! lol (sorry for long explanation of this UU)
* Lush fizz banger bath bomb
I'm going to load up a bunch of items one evilbay and pack up my friends gift package so more UU's later x
HOpe everyone has an amazing day!!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

Condolences to Rosemary and And on the loss of their friends.
Belated birthday greeting to Trudij and anyone else I have missed.
Congratulations on your engagement Happytorte.
Hugs to anyone who need one.
Second day of grotty head cold for me, the weather has turned cold too and I just cannot get warm, in spite of the central heating being full on, best place is in the shower!
ETA painted my nails Picture Polish Paradise, a beautiful Blue with tiny red sparkles, so pretty.
2 UU's an ancient Coty perfume was used as a room freshener in my bathroom (thankfully OH doesn't have to share:rotfl:) Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter used as footcream, have one more in stock for this purpose. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Thanks again to all those who have offered condolences. My daughter popped in today with DGD, and we were chatting about my friend.
DS knew my friend much better than DD, who had left home before the friendship was really underway.
However, she is a good person to chat things through with.
Also a GA resulted to DGD following their visit - a 150 ml Batiste Gold Shimmer Dry Shampoo that I had put aside for my friend. DD ALWAYS unearths something long-lost when she visits.
Today she found a lovely big leather shopper that I'd forgotten existed, and solved the mystery of a brand new wheat bag that went missing some years ago.
It was found in a bag of Easter craft things at the back of the outhouse- I think I'd bought it in an off - season sale around Easter. DS must have thought it was a bean bag, and put it with the craft things, as these are child-related.
We also both agreed that the Alex Curran body lotion has the distinct aroma of toilet /urinal deodorising blocks when first applied.
This whiff goes after a while and it then smells quite sweet, and not too bad, but it does mean that this lotion won't be an all-over body experience.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
UU'd a sample of Nivea Soft which had been hanging around for ages. Possibly too long as it was ridicoulously greasy and horrible.
Unfortunatley I proved unable to resist my HG toothpaste in B**ts when I went in for a toothbrush and came out with a BOGOF pair of toothbrushes and a nineth fangpaste of naughtiness.0 -
I am sorry but I haven't caught up and probably won't have time so I'd just like to send a (((hug))) out to anyone who needs one.
I've got another GA, it's been added to the box of things going to Give and Make-Up tomorrow, I am halfway through a tube of it and it's just too gel-y for me, I prefer my scrubs more 'scrubby' iykwim. No big loss though as I got it on a glitch so it was 78p instead of £3.99!
Clean & Clear Morning Energy Energising Facial Scrub 150ml
This now takes me BELOW the 400 mark! WOOHOO!!!!
Not a fab day for me otherwise, it's 11 years to the day that my mum died, and I seem to miss her more not less with every year that passesNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Hugs to everyone who needs one at the moment and a belated happy birthday to trudiQuestion for you - you know when a powder crumbles in its pan, is there anything you can do, or do you really need to throw it?
Hope you're all well!
x
I am having this very same issue with my face powder at the moment!
The only way I can make the powder useable is to break it up even more so I can apply it with a powder brush like a loose powder. I am too :money: to chuck it out til its all gone!
Although if I was to drop it tomorrow I would not be too sad.
I had one UU today, not sure if I'll have any more for the month.
Avon Magix compact foundation - WNBA, this has been long discontinued but I'm sure there is something in my stash to replace it. Was nothing special, I kept it at my parents so I had some make up for the morning if I stayed over.No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Condolsences to those who have lost close friends and hugs to those feeling under the weather. Been very busy here as BF has spent nearly 2 weeks at the SvsS household. Been totally spoilt and kinda sad now he's gone back home.
Had a couple of UU's in that time, the Avon Argon oil shampoo and conditioner which in all honesty i have loathed from start to finish but too stubborn to throw out have both finally bit the dust. ( i really dont think they were meant to make my hair greasy and dull looking)
I have decanted the last of my 24 hr body tresemme into a clear bottle as i'm sick of thinking i'm nearly at the end and it going on and on forever.... turns out theres 300mls left 1/3rd (i thought it was down to the last dribble).
