Just catching up with the thread before my bath.......enjoy reading all the reviews and dilemmas:-)

Thoughts with those who need it, hope tomorrow brings good luck to all.

My UU number 6........Fresh Lime bath salts!!!! Yes I know you are all jealous:-)

I have no idea where this came from?? cant even remember being given this? and the small print says Tescos...hmmmm well WNBA!! I have no idea what the point of bath salts are??? would love someone to enlighten me but I have a feeling you will share my confusion:-)
  • Emsjune and Rosemary I'm sorry to hear you're both having such tough times, my thoughts are with you.

I have one UU and one sputterer to report.

UU: Body shop cucumber freshening water 250ml. I bought this because it reminded me of the facial spritz they used to do years and years ago and I loved the smell. Unfortunately love soon turned to annoyance and this bottle has to have been open for more than 18 months in order to use it up. I ended up decanting it in to my mini LE IBST bottle to make it more :money: but also to keep me going. WIBA? Possibly on a hot summers day if they did smaller bottles, but inevitably I prefer the IBST.

I'll add in my sputterer as it will be UU by tomorrow: Smashbox photo finish foundation primer 1.5ml.

I had never tried this before but I absolutely adore it! Firstly I am shocked a 1.5ml trial sachet has lasted three days. I used this a couple of days ago under my Bobbi Brown luminous foundation; as it's thicker it has a tendency to settle in to the few lines I have and leave odd brush streaks. With this primer it was an absolute dream to apply and appeared fresh and glowing all day. I also tried it today with my maybelline fit me sample and again, my makeup appeared fresh and glowy all day. I will definitely purchase this, and possibly on AC points as a treat if it's available in Boots.

And that ladies and gents, neatly brings me up to a milestone. I have now UU/TA/GA 100 items since 15/10/12. In that time i have spent less than £100 on toiletries for myself, and have put £200 in an account, which has been used up this month in order to pay down my credit card. I must have saved several hundred pounds by now, as my toiletries spending was so high, I would spend £30 in Boots most weekends.

Only 300 items left to UU, onward and downwards!!
  • nothing much to report here. I have given away an umberto Gianni hairspray. I am really enjoying a champneys oriental opulence mini body cream - I love the fragrance and may by a full size one in march with 500 AP voucher. I have emptied my S&G big bag into the bathroom so I'll be using them alongside the gorgeously scented sanctuary stuff.
well done to all those restrained people. as for those on the naughty step - I hope you're enjoying those purchases!

    Morning!

    Have a TA to report....

Soap & Glory Hand Food 125ml

It was near the end of the tube and every time I squeezed it a bit of water would come out before the cream, it was really annoying and today is bin day so out it went!
I have the exact same one, most annoying isn't it!? Serious LHJ! but very :money: I'm sure, especially if you buy on special offer.

    xx

It was another glitch item so I paid 40p for it at most, but of all the LHJs this is far from the worst.

My OMG SERIOUS LHJ is a 600ml can of Tigi Hard Head Hairspray, I'm considering binning it even though it's almost full (still!), as it's so strong that the nozzle keeps clogging up!

Well done on your milestone and the savings you have made roguey.

I used to love the Smashbox primer as well but found after a time that it made my skin feel oily. Just be careful when you get a full sized that you don't apply too much. I've switched to Laura Geller Spackle which is more cream based than silicone in texture (don't know what ingredients are in each but this is best way for me to describe the difference IYKWIM.)

Have 2 splutterers myself that may go today - Lemon Aid (real LHJ but one I'm not complaining about) and a small tube of Elemis Neck and Bust Cream. Will see after my shower today.

Painted my toe nails last night and am now sporting Mavala The Elle Grey with OPI Pirouette my Whistle on my big toes. Topped my finger nails up with OPI The One That Got Away. Have never worn this before as it's Emma's and I was coveting it after she painted her toe nails in it.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Rosemary - love to your friends.

Rougey - i think I had a sample of the smashbox primer but it was in a very sparkly bronze colour so i chucked it out as I am far from bronze - is yours a neutral colour?

Valm - Do you apply your Lemonaid with a brush or your fingers? I have a pot but find it quite hard to apply. TIA

    I have a uu

Sanex dermo invisible deoderant spray - wnba, it is not effective enough. Have replaced it with the Bzz sure compressed.

My dog is driving me crazy right now, for the last two days he has been pacing back and forth and staring at me, when I let him out he just runs to the gate (normally he sleeps till lunch time) I don't like leaving him out as I am paranoid someone will steal him (he is a drop dead gorgeous black labrador) so I go out with him then when he gets back in he starts again. He is walked for about 1.5 hours a day but he knows we do that in the afternoon.

Roguey - well done, great to see the stash decreasing and your finances improving too.

Dolly - How old is your Lab? if he is young he might be bored, would your lifestyle allow 2 smaller walks rather than 1 longer one, or could you perhaps set aside 10-15 minutes every morning for some fun training, indoors is fine at this time of year. e.g. basic obedience, sit, stay, down, recall and some fun stuff like hiding things for him to find, all rewarded with lots of love and perhaps a tiny food treat each time. I have a border collie now, and have had several gun dogs, spaniel, labs, retriever cross and they all needed as much mental stimulation as physical excercise. (Mine has just decided that I am not going to play fetch the whale toy any more, no matter how much she pleads and sloped off into the bedroom:rotfl:) We have also taught her names for all her toys so that she can go and look for particular ones on request, you can almost see the cogs going round when the desired one cannot be found in toy box and she has to work out where she left it - bit like me trying to find something I have not put back in it's proper place really LOL Where I lived before a retired man had a collie wo knew literally hundreds of items by name.

I love reading this thread! Your dogs sound lovely maddiemay and dolly. I would love to have a dog but circumstances at the moment won't allow it.

    Another UU for me:

16: Nivea Daily Essentials Eye make up remover 125ml

WBA and already have! I usually get this make up remover as it is often on offer (wouldn't buy it if it wasn't!) and seems to do the job for me.
