Oooh, I just found a free sample of L'Oreal Everpure Shampoo and Conditioner on the bookshelf- which is near the front door. I/D.S. must have stashed it there when I/D.S. picked up the post in a hurry.
I love this stuff -I should be able to get 2 washes out of the 10 ml sachets.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I have one of these too - sat on top of my stereo in the bedroom
Really sorry to hear about your friends rosemary.
How did your meeting with the landlord go emsjune?
I sold 2 items on eBay yesterday - one lipgloss, one skincare set. Also have a TA:
Decleor Rose D'Orient Night balm (sample bottle) - really tried to persevere with this but it was horrible. You have to warm it up between your fingers before using it but it goes from gloopy to thick and runny. Not good for my skin at all, left it very greasy and didn't smell nice. So WNB.
And a UU:
John Frieda radiant red conditioner - had this since 2009!Really nice conditioner and hard to find these days. In fact, finding products for natural red hair (as opposed to dyed) is a real challenge most of the time!
One small IN:
Melvita Orange Blossom Extraordinary Water mosituriser - freebie from a nice lady at my local Whole Foods store"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

I love this stuff! I'm currently using the Colour Care conditioner, it's excellent quality and smells of mint, which I LOVE!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

It's so sad to come on here and read about the hard times people are going through. Big hugs to those who are in need. Sometimes things happen in life that puts life in perspective and makes toiletries/beauty products look so frivolous and insignificant.
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to my swap buddy. I got a very lovely package today. I promise to pass on the kindness to my buddy as you have showed me
I'm going to be taking until the very last day to post as I want to fill up this box as much as possible.
I had one UU and 1 in.
I finished my Dior diorshow lash maximizer which I find so essential and my Dior SA gave me one for free as I'm always buying from her. That was super sweet of her, so one UU and 1 IN.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
TOTAL UU's in 2012: 588
Total UU's in 2013: 210

Question for you ladies!
Having just finished my current conditioner bottle, I'm now deciding which one to open next. In this situation, what would you do?
a) open up the very large bottle of conditioner bought in 2010? (on the basis that this is the largest bottle you own and you need to get through it even if it will take probably the rest of the year)
or
b) open up the small sample bottle of conditioner bought in 2009?
(on the basis that this is the oldest bottle in your stash despite also being the smallest)
It's not a simple thing, this toiletry business!"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
Sorry to hear about the difficult things people are going through at the moment. I am thinking about you all and sending you well wishes.
Not a good day for me today in terms of make up. Silly me decided to go and look round the shops! Had been looking at Benefit stuff on ebay and decided to go and try some of the newer products out. Glad I did because I wasn't overly impressed and am glad that I saved my money. On the down side I did make some purchases from the MUA range but nothing too extravagant.
As I have said many times, I still need to sit down and go through my make up stash. Keep avoiding it as I know that this is a lot worse than my toiletries stash :eek:0 -
Also, I was wondering about matte nail polish (I am very slow on the uptake of this I think!)
Do you guys like them and what ones would you recommend?0 -

I would open the small bottle, use that up then start on the large bottle. Also, I was wondering about matte nail polish (I am very slow on the uptake of this I think!)

I'm not a fan of anything 'matte', I prefer glossy or pearlescent. I have one matte nail polish which I love colour-wise but hate the matte-ness so I put glossy top-coat over it, problem solvedNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I would use up the small bottle first, and then probably decant from the large bottle into a smaller one until it has been uu, this would make it feel less of a LHJ to me, and perhaps stop me going out to buy another one "just for a change":rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
