Any other end date compers that hate the new end date change

Hi all
Is there anyone else who is already an end date comper who hates this new change? I like having the end date in the title, it was easy to sort and search how we wished without having to use a tool.
I feel it's more aimed at new compers or those who were not clear on how to search the old system, surely I'm not alone?
With no end date in comps title I feel really unhappy like I will not only miss comps but can't search how I wish and have to use a tool which I prefer not to. If lots of us are unhappy surely this bad (in my view) change will be reversed?
Or am I in the minority?

In theory this tool should make life easier but at the moment there are too many comps maked as unknown end date for it to work. Im still sorting by the old way at the moment as this seems most efficent. i see people are being promted to put an end date in so hopefully it will start to work how it should do. otherwise ill be in the same boat as you where ill miss loads of comps0

I don't think it will affect me as i sort by thread start date as I am pretty up to date.Debt free as of 7.20am on 31st December 2012.
Wow. Feels great :j :beer:0 -
There's too many 'unknown' end-dates. It needs to be kept the same until everyone uses the new format. Or until comps that ar n the old format have ended.
I'm so confused by the whole thing.
There's so many to miss out on as now I can't search or find where they are.

It's going to make comping so much more time consuming, if not impossible for the way that I normally work. I log in, sort by last posted and bookmark any comps I fancy into month folders. Then I click 'sort by name' and they're in date order. That won't work now because the date isn't in the title.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I think it's ridiculous to change it, and I'm not even an end date comper. I just enter comps as and when they are added, but I do like to physically SEE the end date in the title. I don't see why they couldn't have kept that as well as the "new" method, what would have been the harm in having the end date appear twice??0

i completely agree!0 -
I agree. I was fed up last week when I lost my popularity thread. Because I am constrained by time, I usually enter the big prize/popular ones, then time permitting do end date. Have just clicked on popularity thread and it has gone again.
I know people work hard to make it easier but actually they only seem to make it harder for me and more time consuming.0 -

This should help with that problem broughton!
THANK YOU PAINKILLER!!
And yes I hate it too, it won't work until all the "unknown" are changed to the date in the title, sound familiar Glad??? fancy a little job??:rotfl::rotfl:
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free0 -
I dont like it at all.
I started comping a few weeks back and quickly made my way through the forum.
Now I'm comping by end date and not being able to see the end date in the title is just annoying AND people are going to be missing out on loads of comps that dont have an end date put on them.
I asked a few days ago why there were nearly 300 pages of comps on the main board but when you search by end date there are only about 100 pages....it's because so many people haven't put an end date so people who comp by end date could be missing out on 200 pages of comps!!!0 -
Sorry not a fan- I do the thread title, ascending, and work my way through. Will find it much more time consuming and taxing on the brain.
Can't this new method also incorporate the end date in the title as well in the same format as before?I am a Random Number!(£174)
