    Sorry to repeat previous posts.

Has anyone actually got this phone and managed to unlock it for free?

If so which site did you use?

    Ive unlocked the phone using
    http://www.trycktill.com/eng/unlock_swe.asp

    Brand: Nokia
Model: 3200 (3220 is not on the list but it works using 3200)
    Country: United Kingdom
    Network: Orange
    IMIE: enter your IMIE number
    check the disclaimer box
    click Generate Code

Try code no.7 - it worked on my two phones.

I received a text message from '3' today telling me to put my SIM back into a 3G enabled phone within 2 days, otherwise they'll suspend my service :O

As I've unlocked the phone, I was wondering if there's a way of relocking it to the Orange network so that I can send it back, under the 14 day money back guarantee. This is because if I've unlocked it, they might complain about this and refuse to give me a refund!

    Thanks in advance.

You don't need to lock it back to orange,it does not change anything in the phone.Just send it back and say nothing. They won't know unless you mention it etc.All they do is check everything is back in the box and its all in good condition.

Would there be any problems if I was to buy one of these phones then sell it to someone else?

Never bought a Pay-As-You-Go phone before so not really sure.

Would you need to give them the SIM too or is that assigned solely to whoever orders the phone?

Would Orange chase up if I wasn't to register the SIM?

    Cheers!

firstly they do do a credit check as it was clearly shown on my search.
Secondly they cant be customer aware if they dont explain to a cusotmer why you cant have a phone even though you have glowing references and also have an account with them.
I only wanted one phone last time not a few to sell on.
I think they send these out as an excuse not to fulfil the order.

I have just spoke to orange and they do not do credit checks for payg customers, also have a realative who works for orange and she said they definately don't

Sorry I can't be any help with the "locking" but I'm sure they won't notice it.

As for "3" sending you a text!

I've been reading of people going 3 months without anything happening, do you think they received a text and its just a warning and they don't back it up?
    Maybe you'll be ok?

    Mike

In the text they actually say I'm in breach of their terms and conditions and they state the exact numbers of the terms and conditions that I'm breaching by putting my SIM into a non-3G enabled phone!

I also read of ppl going for 5 months without anything happening, this text was actually sent to 4 ppl that I know who also bought this phone!!

Are you in an area of the country where the "3g" signal is always strong? If you are, then maybe they'd notice more that you weren't using it, and you were using 2g more...

Where I live, the 3g signal is weak, and it usually only works on 2g, so maybe I'll get away with it for longer.

In my email it said to wait between 2 and 5 days for delivery. Assuming that they mean 'work days' (ie, Mon - Friday) they still have a couple of days left. Mind you I only ordered on Sunday after my step daughter expressed an interest in a camera phone for her birthday. I wonder if / when I'll get mine?
