lol, think I missed the end of this comp
nb. still can't see the end date link unless I'm logged out xxLegalBeagles0 -
What's going to happen to the ones that don't have the new end date format and have 'Unknown' that don't show with the new end date sort but shows with the old title sort method as it's in the title?
I do like the new sort button, but I think for the time being we still need the end date in the title in the usual format, otherwise it's going to be all over the place and needed to be sorted twice just to enter ending a certain days comps, unless all of the ones with 'Unknown' as the current date are edited.
Edit: Also, is it possible to have a 'guessedenddate' button, so that we can enter guessed ones early so we don't miss them?0 -
wot do we do about guessed end datesWhat goes around-comes around0

MAJOR PROBLEM - Needs sorting quickly

I can't submit a competition now as I enter an end date and then it says

Ignore me - sorted - although I think I prefer that we could see an end date in the title but sometimes things are tweeked for the sake of tweeking - can't personally see any benefit to this atmUEFA: Corrupting Football Since 1954 #CTID0 -
End date really needs to be available in the title until all without the specific end date field filled in are expired/edited. Those who have introduced the new system should be responsible for doing this, not the original posters.
And as One-Eye says it needs to be visible in the search results.
Actually, I don't mind the new system. Using the new sort tool I only see 105 pages of comps, using the old way (before they did away with the original end date button) you get 303 pages (so 200 odd pages of Unknown end dates by my reckoning). Should swing the odds in my favour for a while0 -
Oh come on guys, give it a chance.
MSE provides this board FREE, for little benefit to themselves . It is not their prime business by a long shot but we get a lot out of it.
None of us like change (I'd rather this change wasn't happening, I must admit) but if this is how it's going to be then please try to think positively or at least constructively. If there are specific problems (like the inability to edit the date after the initial posting, which I think is now fixed) then by all means raise them (as others have said, possibly in the site feedback forum as the site people appear to pay more attention there), but otherwise try and minimise the criticism of the people who provide us with this amazing *free* facility.
Just think... no more having to post politely to a newbie telling them they need to put in a date and how. For end-date compers, no more missing one because the OP formatted the date wrong by accident. There are advantages, guys, honest!
You can still comp by end date - but now you can do an end-date sort without being dependent on people having formatted the title correctly in the first place. I think it even separates out the months, so you don't go from 30/01 to 30/03, 30/04 etc. before getting to 31/01 :T0 -

We think we've resolved this. Could you let us know if it's still happening?
Thanks
You still get the error message shown when you "go advanced", but despite what it says, it doesn't block your edited submission.0
