Blackberry 10 looks incredibly fast and powerful. Truly awesome phone with much better software programming than any of its rivals.
The problem is people are too used to iphones and S3 and their zillions apps. Blackberry has well over 70K apps at launch which is impressive. I think people are just a bit hesitate to try out something new especially when blackberry has failed on the media front spectacularly in the past.
If Blackberry allow many live demos, hand on demos throughout the shopping malls of the UK - I would try it out in person and make a decision0 -
Yes, I have been impressed with the look of the gesture and screen, hope it's a success, more choice is always good.0

Blackberrys gained their reputation in the business world first of all. Over the years, with Iphones, Windows handsets and Androids, they lost market share. The name "Blackberry" became associated with yesterday's technology and decline.
So I can not see why RIM have decided to change their company name to Blackberry. If the new Blackberry fails to ignite interest and gain a better market share, then, had they not changed their name, RIM could have brought out a new range of handsets or other products under the RIM banner rather than a failed Blackberry name.
But actually the best feature for businesses and staff who are given company mobiles, is the software partitioning that is unique to the BB10. This allows a work partition that the IT department can lock down so the user can't add any apps and a private partition that the member or staff can protect with encryption/pwd as well. It also separates work contacts from personal contacts.
This is currently unique and it is where they have a great opportunity to regain market share - at least till the other boys do the same.
It also looks like a decent handset, but a bit expensive if it wants to penetrate the domestic market.0 -

I don't think they are after the heels of Android/iOS but aiming to be the 3rd in the market and working on their existing market, the 'pie' is very big apparently . I do like the Z10 though.0 -
Anyone know if it can tether, am thinking WiFi hotspot to a tablet0

Went from Blackberrys to Samsung Galaxy S3 still miss my Blackberry though. I don't use my phone for music or photography just calendar, email, texts and phone calls. Seriously thinking of selling the S3 and buying the Z10.0

I believe you can if the network allows tethering0 -
Being using one at work - battery life is shocking - the rest is interesting but nothing that would get someone to swap from either android or iOS.0
