No visiting pigeon today thankfully, just a normal busy day at work.
Was told today that from now on when we do a duty supervising the students in the canteen we have to pick up the rubbish & clear their plates & cutlery away, I can't see me doing the duties for much longer, if I'd have wanted a job as a cleaner I'd have applied for one.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Hilly Just wanted to add my thoughts re payment of your dad's care. As I understand it, family members are not responsible for paying for their relatives care, the responsiblily for payment is for the person in care themselves.
My mum had to go into a care home. She had some savings, so initially she paid in full for her fees. They are allowed to keep some of their savings ( at the time it was about £23000). So when her savings reached that point, I had a meeting with the Social Service, and we went through all her finances. The end result was, the sum she had to pay each month was more or less the same as her pension income. The balance of the payments was paid by the local authority.
I found Social Services to be very helpful - I hope your DD's meeting has a positive outcome, and the end result should be that your dad pays for his care, within his means.

Hi everyone,
Finally, my laptop keyboard wasnt working properly so I finally got a new laptop today so im back. How is everybody doing? Iv been trying to lurk and keep up to date. Os wise not alot recently not been doing well with the pain but life goes on. We got our approval for the IVF to go ahead so should have our appointment soon. I got told at 19 I would need IVF and would probably only have til I was 25 or so to try because the damage caused by the scarred tissue is getting worse.
Weather has been icy and blowing a gale so I hope everybody stays safe. x

Hailight - thank you so much for the link as you all know im appealing my DLA decision and have put in a complaint over the doctor. I sent them 6 years worth of my different appointments etc. Over 140 pages in all. They havent justified why after 6 years they have lowered it. I said to a head decsision maker you know if i have to take this to a tribunal i would win and would be awarded it for life. He said he agreed. Im so angry the stress its caused has meant my antidepressants have had to be trebled because im not coping. Its so wrong. Sorry to babble. Thanks again for that info im going to read it and subscribe x0
