Hilstep, we have been summoned to a meeting at the nursing home next week with bupa and NHS representatives, my initial feeling is that the nhs contract isn't being renewed, so we may be looking at a move for FIL, or an application for funding, which will be fun....not! Trying not to panic MIL, but will be a nightmare if he has to move, he's been there for nearly 4 years now!
Patiently waiting for the wardrobe delivery, and for OH's old boss to call me back with some information for the tax forms, WM load number 2 is on, and have chicken quarters waiting to be turned into a casserole.RIP Iain

Hi all
Sunny here at the moment, but rain forecast for later, so the washing is in the bathroom, on A-frames, as I still can't stretch up for the outdoor whirligig myself.
I can't believe Megan's over halfway through her stay; she's just had the fifth of her nine nights with us.:o
Hester I know Odin has his ravens, but I hadn't realised that pigeons worked with Loki!:D Sorry, I really had to laugh – but how annoying for you.
Julie I understand not wanting to drag the thread down (I get like that myself quite often) but please, at the very least pop your head round the door and wave, ok? And in any case, if it helps to let it all out here, you know that's fine too.:o
Hilstep (((HUGS))) NHS seems to be all box-ticking these days, as opposed to patient need.:(
Jacket spuds with baked beans were lovely last night; I thought the spuds were a tad small (I just sort out the largest ones from the sack from the market and reserve them for “jacketing”);) so I augmented it with some veggie hot-dogs, cut into pieces and stirred in with the beans. Mushroom risotto tonight; Mr LW has diced up a dish of onion ready for me,:A and the shrooms are already sliced, so my fingers are not at risk.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Had Dad's review Monday, thought it was fine then DD got a call yesterday sying the NHS won't pay for him as he hasn't got dementia! He qualifies on all the other medical needs (he's on oxygen 24/7) and other things, but apparently they have changed the rules. So we have had to get on to Social Services now, which I didn't want. DD is taking it over now and waiting for them to get in touch.:o
Fasting day today. Strawberry & banana smoothie for breakfast and prawn and avocado for dinner.
Weight this morning was 11 stone 6lb! Another 2lb lost:T That's 10lb in a few weeks! This AF eating plan is great. I don't feel hungry and only have to do it twice a week. When I reach my goal I can cut it to one day a week.
Waiting for the postman now so then I can go out.
Have a good day all.
