Wishing you all the best, something similar happening around me, so can sort of sympathise.

You can only hang in there & take one day at a time, you can't change the past & can't predict the future, so concentrate on now.

You have your family around you & that is the biggest bonus.
No one said it was gonna be easy!
  • Hugs for you all. Times like this are definitely sent to challenge is. Just try to remember what is important, and that is that you are blessed with a truely loving family.
I have seen some bad things happen to lovely people, an I have come to the conclusion that these things happen to people who are strong enough to deal with it and still appreciate life.
Hope thing get much better for you soon. You deserve it. (And you have certainly put my problems into perspective).

Sorry for all the bad things that have happened, hopefully lots of good things have happened too, no matter how small they may seem.

Wishing that this year brings more of the good stuff and less of the bad xx

I thought I was having a tough time of it but my problems pale into insignificance compared to what you guys are/have been going through. I wish you and your family the very best and hope things pick up for you all very soon.

    So
Early 2010 I get diagnosed with Prostate Cancer
Summer 2010 son has a serious car accident, nearly loses his hand but owing to good health care (NHS) only loses a finger
Autumn 2010 wife has a nervous breakdown from the stress of the above
Early 2011 a suspicious mole spotted on my chest
Late 2011 an operation to remove a large malignant melanoma, wound got infected so off work for a long period
Mid 2012 attention goes to my Lymph glands that have become swollen
Late 2012 6 hour operation to remove all the lymph glands in my left armpit, 8 found to contain malignant cells and a suspicion they did not get all the cancer so treatment ongoing
Now, I have cellulitis affecting my operation scars and surrounding area and the wife has just been admitted to hospital following a very severe asthma attack!

Is it ever going to end!!

    Hi Pal,

    Same here for me.

The last 13 years have been hard for me.

One good thing to happen was that my wife and I had identical Twin Girls. But even that nightmare, Twin two was not growing as fast as twin one. there was a problem with there blood flow.
My wife had to go to be checked out every two days,
To cut a long story They Girls were vorn 10 weeks early. But we ahd to go all the way to liver pool as there were no Hot room cots for the girls. Twin one have to be put on a venterlater ,
They spent 6 weeks In hospital all together ,
Thanks to Good care, They are now happy healthy Girls who are doing well at school and will be five In a few months time.

Over the last 13 years Iv had three brain tumors removed first one when I was 20 years old. The first one I spent nearly 13 weeks In hospital.
Im due to have my 4th brain tumor removed this year. This time they need to removed the whole back of my skull and replace it with a plate. The tumor is growing into the bone. They are make the plate at the moment

Ialso habe tumor number 5 They are keeping an eye on that one and no treatment plan for it yet. It's a wait and see job.

Iv been in debt because of the tumors, I worked hard to pay the debt off.
Iv lost my Nan and Granddad, The last of my grand parents,

My dad Is Ill with C.O.P.D. (Lungs)

My Mum has also been ill over this time but now, Thanks to good care of the N.H.S is fit and well,

Two of my cozens have died.
    One because of drink.
The other because of a brain tumor the doctors could do nothing about.

    Life is hard.
But we get though the bad stuff,
One day thing have to be better:j:j

    Good luck mate:beer::beer:
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

And what GOOD things have happened in the last few years, it can't ALL have been bad!

Your son survived the accident.. sounds like he was very lucky!

You all appear to have had excellent healthcare and best of all, you have each other. A positive mental attitude does contribute to survival rates for cancers. You need to focus on the good in your life and look to the future. Enjoy your life the best you can.

I hope your treatment is successful! xx
