Damn I missed the posts about the cashback until this morning!
She averages just over 1GB of data looking back at her bills. I think the GIFFGAFF option looks tempting at the moment. Thanks for all your posts so far.0 -
There's still £50 cash back available on that deal from Quidco and TCB as far as i can see. Makes it £11.80/mth net for unlimited everything. Personally speaking, for the peace of mind it gives, i would be very tempted at that price....
edit: I note that the cash back site states it 'excludes iphones' but why would you need to tell them it's for an iphone? Doesn't the 3GS use a 'normal' sized sim?0 -
Update: cashback from TCB seems to be £60.60 giving a net figure of £10.95/mth.

Another option would be Virgin SIM Only at £12/mth which gives:
150 mins
U/L texts
U/L data (truly u/l BUT a speed cap comes in after 3.5gb has been used in the month).
There's a definite chance you could get this down to maybe £7/mth if you ring up after a couple of months and threaten to cancel (it's a 30 day rolling contract and i managed to get my son's £17/mth sim down to £10/mth by simply asking to cancel). Decisions decisions. Virgin use the T Mobile/EE network

Given your daughter only needs 100mins and 100 texts, there is no point in paying for more 100 mins and texts.
Consider Ovivo (PAYG so no risk of big bills if the phone is lost or stolen and she can leave anytime if there is a better offer):
Free each month 100minutes, 100 texts 400mb. As she needs lots of data, purchase a £10 top up each month of 1G, which brings her total data allowance to 1.4Gb.
After 3 months in a row £10 topups, her free allowance increases to:
150 minutes, 150 texts and 500 mb, which brings her total data allowance (after topup) to 1.5Gb.
If she keeps topping up for a further 3 months, her free allowance increases to:
200 minutes, 200 texts, and 600mbs. After topup her data allowance would be 1.6G.
Unlike some mobile companies, tethering is allowed.0 -
Thanks, the Virgin option seems good. More options than I thought, I'd only found the 3G deal, but their customer service doesnt get good reviews at all.0
