Which Sim only plan for daughter?
Options
Hi guys, I know nothing about mobile phones which is why I am posting on here hoping for some advice.
My daughters contract with Vodafone has just expired so I am hoping to save money by changing to a cheaper sim only plan now that these seem a lot better value for money.
With kids these days its all about the data, so the new plan must have ample data available otherwise I may be hit with a huge bill. She has an apple 3g phone and will be keeping this. She would get by on 100mins talktime and 100 texts as she hardly uses them but the data is pretty important. Seems kids spend all day browsing the web on there and chatting via Whatsapp.
Any ideas? I have seen the 3G 1 month sim only plan with all you can eat data for £12.90 a month, is this the best option do you think?

Tesco Capped contract @ £10 a month or GiffGaff with a £10 a month Goodybag. Personally I'd go with Tesco, as you can reach their call centres. Virgin do a cheap deal @ £7 but I don't think you can cap the spend.
Both Tesco and Giffgaff sit on the O2 network and Virgin is on T-Mobile, so the phone may need to be unlocked, but Vodafone will do it for free, http://campaigns.vodafone.co.uk/UnlockCodeRequestForm/0 -
Hi gjchester, do the Tesco capped contracts come with plenty of data?0

Mine is £10 a month, 1 month notice, 1GB, 150 minutes and oodles of texts (3000 or 5000),as we have two contracts we get an extra 150 minutes each as a perk.0

T mobile sim only would be a good bet as they never charge extra for going over your data allowance. They just stop downloading/streaming but you can still browse/update facebook or twitter for no extra charge.
This will give you peace of mind for no big bills!.0 -
I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the T Mobile Full Monty SIM only (unlimited everything!) 12 month plan. Currently on 'special' at £16/mth but with £75.75 cashback from Topcashback (ends today!!), making it £9.75/mth net. No real need for a 'cap' with this deal! Please note that T Mobile have just started capping the D/L speed at 4mb but still a great deal.

How about T-Mobile's Full Monty unlimited tariff for £16-a-month, 12-month contract? (unlimited calls, texts and data). £75.75 Topcashback ends today: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/tmobile/0

The 500 mins tariff does not include BT Wifi, as I never go over 150 mins that's enough for me and I'd rather have the wifi bolt on..0
