Congratulations Thrifty.
I'm guilty of being quite absent to. Struggling with budgets but I have already planned next months budget ready for the next challenge. I am only part time at work at the moment so have been looking for another job as I need full time again. I'm feeling a bit lazy doing part time. I don't seem to make good use of the extra time I have. Still have my ebaying to do as well so that is planned for tomorrow.
Hope everyone is still around and doing better than me.TOTAL DEBT - £10866.22/£450.06 PAID O/S £10416.16CC - £174.69 - The rest is a family loan and other debts which are 0%August Grocery Challenge - £0.00/£250.00

I am guilty guilty guilty of being so tired I forget to post. Naughty NSK!!! Am at work ( surprise surprise ) until 0700 with reports of friends at parties I'm a little depressed but realise its all for the greater good? Right???
Massive congrats to Thrifty!! I'm super happy for you!!
Going to use the last day of my weekly travel card tomorrow and head to Londons Brick Lane! I used to do it a lot at Uni. The tradition.. But a naughty Starbucks ( eBay allowances smashed so I'm treating myself ) and then spend the day exploring weird and wonderful stalls not needing to spend a thing cause I'm taking my lunch with me!!
I just need to get out of the house before I got stir crazy!!
So that's my exciting news!! Yes very quiet in here. Things get tough.. All lows and highs are worth documenting though.. Something to look back on!! I know how much I want to go to Oz. I googled my uncles house where I went as a child on street view. Nearly made me cry!!!

Morning Everyone
Managed to add a few more SFD's so I'm hoping I will make my target.
Booked cinema tickets already so £23 has been added to my 'outings' total. For the rest of half term I'm meeting up with friends and family around their houses, so although I'll make cakes to take round I shouldn't spend anymore.
Decided I'm not going to use any more of the vouchers. I have plenty of food in the house, so I don't need to keep buying more (although that is what I would usually do ~ it's a hard habit to break!)
Have a lovely weekend all!0 -
Just caught up with all the posts......
Congratulations Thrifty ~ fabulous news!!0 -
I'm sorry I've just realised how long my last post was...yawn!
Never apologise for a long post - this thread has become my addiction and I love reading how everyone is getting on.
Today should be another SFD. Its church followed by another long dog walk and then the theatre tonight with a complimentary ticket.
In terms of ebay I actually have a bid on one item (first time in over a week) - its only for £5 but its all being captured!
Good luck to everyone today - its lovely here today and I hpe that its the same where you are.xx44 day challenge

Hello everyone
Well a SFD for me today (a bit of a rarity at the moment!) we had a long walk with the dogs this morning which tired the kids out as well and they are currently having a long lego session with a huge box of lego that was my husbands when he was a boy(the kids not the dogs!)
After the car episode I had a sinking feeling thinking the boiler was kaput but luckily my neigbour came up and reset it and fingers crossed its ok now. I had resigned myself to another bill so i'm feeling like I got a bargain now lol  Not much else happening on the MSE front- trying to be frugal :A after my spendy friday and my dad and sons birthdays both in this week so it might be a tad spendy too. Though when I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday treat he chose to have tea at his gran and grandads! (I have him so well trained lol!) So thats next Saturdays tea sorted I just need to find/bake him a cake he wants a Moshi monsters one to go with the Moshis he chose as his birthday present.
Hope you are all having a good Sunday0 -
Afternoon chickadees!! Out and about today. Already fed and watered. Still feeling guilty that I should be doing double time overtime!! However I shall try and enjoy myself among the weird and wondrous sites of free London Town!! What's everyone's plan for the week ahead?? I intend to get back in time to creat food for the week!!! Might just be running out of CASH!!! More updates later!!!
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!!! :-)“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Hi all. What a lovely sunny day. Today I am 41 years old and what am I doing to celebrate my birthday? Errr, nothing. Took the kids to football this morning, took a flask and some snacks to have in the car before we came home. Everyone was asking me if we were going out for lunch on the way home and I just wanted to yell "no because we cant flippin well afford it".
Oh and my sister is organising a girly weekend away in June and wants me to go. I cant really justify it, not until some of these debts have been paid off. I dont even know what we are going to do for a family holiday this year.
So I am feeling a little sorry for myself. On the upside I have been given £70 for my birthday so now I just need to decide what to do with it. I may just go shopping and blow the whole lot on some cheap clothes, some makeup and things for myself.0 -
Nice to see you giving yourself a break Kat - hope that you enjoy yourself.
This week is half term so I am going to enjoy myself! Foodwise I am still running the freezer down - although I am getting a tad fed up with the same meals. Payday is the 23rd so I am trying to get through on minimum rations until 23rd March when i will go to our local farm shop and stock up - ready for visitors over Easter. The meat there is excellent quality and reasonably priced. Not cheap you understand but you know where the meat has come from !!44 day challenge

YORKSHIRELASS I know the feeling about just wanting to tell people you cant afford it. At our old running club I was constantly finding excuses not to go on socials and tey even used to run marathons abroad and i'd get invited and it was so far out of my league moneywise it was a joke!
My parents have paid for us to go away with them in June which is great but i'm wishing now we had declined as I need to renew 2 passports, pay for dog kennels, luggage, clothes etc etc and with three kids spending money it still wont be cheap. I'm really dreading it to be honest. If it wasnt my mums 60th bash theres no way we would be going. :eek:0
