    Mortgage-free Glee!
HR professionals have a Chartered Status with their CIPD qualifications so I think that everyone can understand that HR is a profession AND a career.

We do indeed. It's terribly exciting.

    No, acknowledge you were wrong.

You have based your tirade of nonsense on not even reading what was posted in the first place.

Well, let's just leave it to other members to decide shall we?

You have zero creditability and I bet you don't like it!

I'm off now, to HR my staff!:rotfl:

    :rotfl:

You crack me up Gilbert ....I confess I'm actually getting rather fond of you.

    I never said it wasn't a career, I said it wasn't a professional career.

    Big diff.

And I do wish members would read what other members post, eh pete111?;)

I refer to the 3 classic professions, the law, medicine & clergy.

Even footballers or painter & decoraters will call themselves professional.

I had a good education and, had you too, you would also be aware of the real professions.

Most people would recognise that Chartered status denotes a recognised professional career like a Chartered accountant or a Chartered Surveyor.
    It's not rocket science!!!!

Ummm the 1800's called. They want their mindset back.....

The benefits of a good education I guess.;)

Hurrah for you running a business Gilbert (I trust you provide ample parking for your people?)

Yes, they can also use the roads too.;) (provided no restrictions);)

I note you use turnover however...one tends not to be able to spend that quite as freely as profit....

Ok, let's put it this way, you freely revealed your astonishing salary to me, presumably in the mistaken belief it would impress.

I paid more income tax for 11/12 than you earnt last year, I know as I only filed it last night.;)

Most, educated, people would also know the distinction between the classic professions, which I have talked about, as opposed to other professions, which I haven't.

Except you as it is clearly lost on you.

Now, please add something of value to this thread as you will derail it.

I only recently became aware of the ignore button on this site and it is very useful.

    There's a good chappy.;)

I'm actually a woman AND a Careers Adviser.
I also tend to speak to people on here as I would if I met them in person.
However, my days are spent working with undergraduates and postgraduates so I don't usually have to spell everything out or be quite so obvious. Never mind
I suspect that you get confused quite a lot!

I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.
