OK, now I'm home and I have read the post properly, I can see that in all likelyhood, unless the process changes again, I will not be reassessed for PIP but for DLA.
Sorry, I'm being a bit thick, and I am in a rush as I have a counseling session to get to so can't get my head around it.rogerblack wrote: »The reassessment activity begins 20 weeks earlier than the end of the award.
So, it's not the end of the award that is the important date, but the date at which the reasessment occurs.
If your DLA reassessment begins before October 13, (as it would for one ending in Feb 14), then you are reasessed for DLA.
Otherwise PIP.
Consider that you're sent a claim form significantly in advance of the old one ending for example, and that there is activity to look at the claim prior to that.
Lets see if I have this right.
IF your assessment date for DLA, is prior to October 2013, then you will be assessed for DLA?
How do you work out the assessment date? Is it the end date less 20 weeks? In which case mine would be 24/08/2013 (11/01/14 less 20 weeks).
Is it possible to submit a renewal online and can you attach any documents?[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Is it possible to submit a renewal online
According to this thread you can

posters experienced some problems but maybe they have been ironed out by now
and can you attach any documents?
No idea, sorry
But if your award doesn't expire for another 12 months, things could have changes again by the time your renewal papers are sent out.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
so based on the information above ....
existing DLA claims will be transferred in order of renewal date?
dos this mean that the current indefinate/lifetime awards will be the last to be moved across or will they just be slotted in between as and when?0 -
Lifetime awards will be invited to (i.e told to apply or lose the benefit) apply for PIP from October 2015 assuming they are under 65 at 08/04/2013. The order in which this is done has not been identified as yet.so based on the information above ....

As I understand it.
(As it currently stands) They will be transferred over in order of assessment date (which is 20 weeks prior to the end of the award) ASSUMING the first day of the assessment date falls in or after October 2013. This doesn't mean they have to apply within 1 month of this date, they can wait until the very last minute (not advisable) if they wish.
