What's your favourite hour of the day?

Mine is now , 9pm, the kids in bed, homework, work, household chores, cooking, cleaning, lunch boxes , admin, washing machine on, dishwasher empty, all done, time to sit and find something mindless on TV and repeat again tomorrow:)

Yours?

Hmmm. Either 2-3pm, baby is usually napping and I get to eat lunch and get a warm cuppa without little hands grabbing. I do like now though for the same reasons you do, all chores (mostly) done and OH is messing about on his computer in the spare room so I get peace :)

I love the hour when I'm out with the dog (6am) and being in bed at the end of a busy day. Not sure that's an hour though, as I'm usually asleep quite quickly. I also like the golden hour of TV between 9-10pm.

I have two. I get up at 6am and enjoy an hour of peace getting ready for work before the kids get up, and from around 9pm. I'm sitting here in total silence, aside of the hum of the tumble dryer, with a coffee and MSE :o and a book I am reading. Bliss.
  • When I'm not at work it has to be 9pm as well as kids are fast asleep and I can veg out on the sofa.

  • 7am on a Sunday morning. Up, get a coffee and a biscuit and back to bed to watch an episode of Star Trek / Fringe / Grimm / Lost then fall back asleep.

About 6am - I don't enjoy the getting out of bed part, but once up I enjoy the calm, sitting and eating my breakfast and then getting ready to go to the gym :)

I love it around this time too. Days work done, kids in bed, all ready for tomorrow, sat chilled out with a glass of something cool, just relaxing and taking some time for myself.

I am very lucky though in as much as I love the job I do. Each day holds some special time, where a lesson goes well, some little kids have a light bulb moment and all my planning and effort feels so worth it. Those times are precious and priceless.

I also love the times when my family call up for a catch up chat, normally at some point in the evening :)
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
