Have switched to their Nov 19 fix (3 years) - all excellent so far. As good as any switch I have done before.
  • Signed up for ISuppys 3 year fix which was due to start on the 20th Dec.

Just received a message today from them:
Please be advised that unfortunately, we are unable to take over your supply, as we have received a rejection from the gas registration industry.

If you require any further information, then please contact us on 0330 2020298.

All your payments have been cancelled and if any money has been collected, this will be refunded back to you within 28 calendar days.

Will give them a call in the morning for more information. Is this a problem at their end or mine? Never had any problem with previous energy switches?

    Cheers in advance

    Rob
  • Hi, have received exactly same message this evening - had no problems with switches previously. From my trawl of the web, seems to be a problem with errors with meter/supply numbers, but will add more after I've spoken to isupply.
  • Hi there I have the same any news from your call thanks

Amazing. I couldn't switch even if i wanted to.

Message when trying to obtain a quote:
Unfortunately, we currently do not offer tariffs for consumption levels lower than £xxx per year.

So i make up a random figure to obtain a quote, (not my actual energy usage.) I'm nervous about entering my switch date before I've had a quote, so i'll end it there, (as i don't actually want to switch.)

There's a first time for everything. An energy supplier not wanting customers who don't spend enough?

Maybe MSE needs to take a look at this?

LOL. Sounds like you are nort really trying.

Why not use a comparison site as suggested by MSE and earn yourself some possible cashback into the bargain?
(There's no restrictions when applying via a comparison site)

Because they are not showing / available on comparison sites, again.

    Certainly not in my comparisons.

One has to ask the question, why are they rejecting low energy users, or being selective, not on comparison sites? :)

Usual reason for small companies doing this is that they feel they have about as many customers as they can comfortably handle.

I think I read somewhere that MSE Martin had recommended them recently - that probably swelled their numbers

It's not unusual for small suppliers to restrict access for new customers to their products. I remember Flow did it by admitting they were not taking on new customers at one time (lasted several months iirc). But rather than a blanket ban, other suppliers just stop their products being promoted by others.
(That way, those who really want this particular supplier can still apply :))

I believe the last time iSupply were not available on comparison sites for a short while was because they were changing tariffs. But their last tariff change was 02-Dec-2016, so I don't think that is the reason this time :)

I see iSupply Energy are being shown today on UKPower.co.uk (maybe other comparison sites too?)

If you use Martin's link, you should may also be able to get £17.50 per fuel cashback

After half an hour of trying, I've finally managed to get a quote off the UK Power website, by eventually entering i was on a standard tariff. It's taken me a while to work out what (incorrect) information they would accept. Their site won't accept my tariff, (even though it's listed on their drop down.) It's taken time and effort to find out why i was receiving the following message.

There was a problem, please have a look at the form and correct any issues.

If you are having difficulties please give us a call on 0800 ****

Needless to say, i didn't want to switch in the first place, and i definitely won't be switching.

I was just interested to compare rates.
