I can only describe them as useless. I was given a switch date and took my meter readings (28th March). I had to contact British Gas to sort out final reading but had trouble with that because Co-op should have done it. British Gas kept chasing me for money but I wouldn't pay it because the readings were estimated and they wouldn't take my readings to do the final bill. In the end I sent them a stroppy email which they replied to and accepted my readings and I paid them immediately. I had chased the co-op to try and deal with it all and I was expecting a bill at the end of June. I've just checked my bank account and the co-op have taken over £80 out of it. I've not received a bill, I can't get on their website because it's down and I'm supposed to be paying monthly. The only correspondence I've had from them is a membership card. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AND WILL CHANGE SUPPLIER AS SOON AS I CAN. They have done nothing in switching except accepting me as a customer and taking £80 without agreement. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST0

I am in the process of switching away from Co-op Energy. Experienced problems with Customer Services from the beginning of the contract when the switch didn't happen. Not able to contact them by phone, website was awful and bill frequency was hit and miss. Response to emails, if they happened at all, took weeks on occasion.
It has been 7 weeks since I switched and I am still waiting for a refund.
Good luck to anyone who tries Co-op Energy0 -
I've been trying to access my account on the Co-op Energy website but only get a blank page after logging in.
Anyone else?Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

It was playing up yesterday as well. I've managed to get into my account today though.
I will be leaving Co-op thankfully in a few days time. Their mess of a web site must of lost them thousands of customs.0 -

I wish you better luck with your new supplier.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

The best I can describe the Cooperative Energy CS as is Woeful. Their web page works about 20% of the time and even basics like being able to access previous bills is just not possible.
I switched to them last June. They completely failed to take over my gas supply, even after I'd provided all kinds of things, including photos of my meter. It took several attempts before they just gave up and I couldn't be bothered to chase them.
Having just switched away to EDF, I logged in this evening to see if there was any sign of the credit on my account being repaid. Instead, I found they'd charged me a £30 exit fee. My final bill from SSE was dated 12 June last year and my switch date to EDF is 13 June this year, so I've emailed to ask why I've been charged.
I really don't know whether they have any clue what is going on. When I have managed to get through on the phone, the staff have been friendly, but ineffectual. I prefer to deal with all suppliers by email, to keep a record of what's happening. As I'm not usually free to spend time on the phone, this also means I can contact them at any time, but a response takes days, if I get one at all.
My advice - just don't bother. Steer clear of them and go somewhere where you might actually get a reply.0 -

Co-op should have notified you 6 weeks before your contract ended. If you didn't receive that notice then you should check which date the contract ended and if you switched within 7 weeks of that date, there should not be any exit fee to pay.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Seems very little on the forums these days so is everybody happy with the Co op now or is this new type MSE forum a bit more tricky to use ?0

I see that they have recently increased prices with the new Fix for Longer October 2017 and even worse with their Fix and Fly October 2018.
I think they must be expecting a hefty fine from the regulator - probably in excess of 5p.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I feel a bit two faced as I complain about the Co o energy service and especially web site yet I have also taken out the Fix for longer September deal. I will be getting the first bill from this new contract anytime now so will be interested to see if it is correct0
