I didn't think that such a little animal could take all my love like she does :(You lot might think I'm crazy and that it's only a dog but she's been my best friend for 14 years....

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Murph was my best friend, I loved him like a child; we all understand how difficult this this.

Thinking of you, hope your ok. xx
  • Just thought I would update you all, the vet said she has arthritis in her hips and that is what's up with her. Today just looking at her she's like a new dog like there was nothing wrong with her! Maybe she was just looking for the sympathy vote with me because she know's she will get it :)

Theres life in the old dog yet :) She seems a lot more settled than she did yesterday :)

Thanks for all your advice and best wishes

One very happy doggie and owner

I'm so glad to hear it, here's hoping with treatment you can have a little bit longer together.
  • My heart goes out to you both. Its the hardest decision in the world, but you will know when its right, and you won't regret it. Take care xxx

I am so relieved, last night I could hardly sleep, when I did get to sleep it was lying on the floor next to her, she's that spoilt she has her own bedroom with huge bed in it!

I couldn't bear to leave her side.

Glad to hear the news, but just to say there are lots of folk on here who know that a dog/ cat/whatever is NOT "just a pet."

That is why they posted the words that they did....because sadly most of us have been there, done it, bought the tee shirt....and for me, many times more than once..... and it does not get any easier.

A neighbour's dog has arthritis and she started giving him.... I think it was Devil's Claw. New dog! If you are interested I will ask her.
