Ryan Air (and others) and tennis rackets

Has anybody had any experience of taking a couple of tennis rackets on board a ryanair plane(or other)?ould they cahrge for these , is there anyway to find out before I book?
Starting MB- looking for Raf offers.

    Depends on size. If it fits their dimension allowance then it will be fine. If it doesn't, which they probably won't they could charge you to put them in the hold.

    If it doesn't fit the dimensions Ryanair have a policy where you can reserve/buy a seat for items like this. (Probably cheaper that paying for checked baggage)

    There are two issues here - do they fit in your one piece of hand luggage (which would need to fit in the luggage gauge), and will security allow them through? The first, you would need to work out, and the second I'm not sure of the answer - best to ring the airport and check.

    Tennis racquets are not allowed in hand luggage under the Department for Transport rules. Have a look here Check your departing airport's website too.

    I asked Ryanair what they would cost as hand luggage,the reply was 40 love.

    You can have a parachute as hand luggage though :eek:

    I assume you could pay to cehck in one piece of luggage with ryanair(£30 per flight) and put them in the case?
