Here is a thread on CAG about a Carcraft warranty issue. You will note that they have a Customer Service Rep from Carcraft on there. You may want to start a thread there to see if the rep will look into your case should you have further probs.

Its an AYGO, 4 years old and its done 3100 miles. Also when we get this guarantee taken off he is still going to make the same payments as often as he can to get it paid quicker.

Good little car those, if its been looked after it should be very reliable, parts such as tyres brakes etc cheap as chips.

Check the terms and conditions of the finance, making extra payments and paying off early may not save anything, the interest on the loan may still stand, i am far from an expert in these matters so get advice on that from someone who knows what they are doing.
If overpayments don't actually save any of the interest then your son might as well make them inot is own account and gain, far better than in CC's account if f no benefit to you.

    Best of luck with this.
  • Spacey, that is a much better deal but too late for us i'm afraid,
He has already purchased Gap Insurance.

Tilt, Thank you, I will look on there straight away

I did ask at the time, could we pay it off sooner and the guy said that we could, but I honestly don't believe him anymore.
I am so pleased that you said it was "a good little car"and also the other comment that "we have all done it" I'm smiling for the first time today and I Thank You.
My son won't feel as bad either when I show him.
  • Just 3,100 miles in 4 years? Or is that a typo, and it's done 31,000 miles??

Definitely a scam, there is no way you should be forced into buying a warranty, under any circumstances. You would be better avoiding CarCraft altogether if not too late.
And that my son, is how to waft a towel!

Cancel cancel cancel..... Never go to these people again.

I bought a car once from them, i'd been looking for this particular car, low mileage, not modified by boyracers, pretty hard to find.
Carcraft tried all sorts of pressure selling, they wanted me on finance despite me having the cash to buy outright, the tried to push warranty on me too, but I was having none of it.
All in all it wasn't worth the hassle for the car and I should have walked.....

Cancel if you can. Although you can get a new Aygo for £159pm there are better deals on the Citroen C1 which is the same car. I had one for two years and it was great.
    Can I help?
