    In fact, no...

Virgin will be quicker than Sky.

You'll either have to pay Sky for the remainder of the contract to get out now, or pay two bills until the Sky minimum term is up and you can cancel without charge.
  • Post your router stats...

How do I post router stats fom a SKY box ?

Log into the web admin by pointing your web browser at the router (192.168.0.1)
Enter the user name admin and password sky to go in.
The main page shows some useful information such as connection speed.
Click on the "Show Statistics" button slightly for more detailed information such as SNR.
  • Ill give it a go....

    However here is a example...

Today just now ( 10.30 ) using a IPAD loaded up bbc iplayer and wanted to watch mrs brown boys

30 secs in it started to buffer and did this for a further 5 mins before it played ok all the way through.

When I was with Virgin before I was getting 45 Mbps and with 2 iPads and a pc all streaming via bbc iplayer...no issues whatsoever

You can't test using wi-fi, you need to be on ethernet. The issue you describe could simply be a channel clash with a neighbour-try changing the channel using InSSIDer. Nothing to do with your ISP.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • thats true..

Just done the same with a Etherney connection to the Sky Hub

    Although buffering was less...it stillbuffers
