monnagran glad to see you back posting My nephew is a vicar in Lancashire and often folk don't realise just how much work is involved. He is a smashing chap and on the go from morning till night.Extremely hard working and the centre of his community

Islandmaid I'm with you honey, starting the New Year off again sounds like a good plan.Grieve for you little chum but be glad he's no longer struggling.

Well its blowing a hooley here at the moment wind and lashing rain, not a nice night at all.
Tomorrow I have to be at DDs for most of the day as my builder is putting in a new sink and taps for her as her old one has seen better days to say the least its my treat for her as she is such a good lass to me and I like to give her a treat now and again as I know things are a bit tight finacially at the moment.

I have applied for a couple of tickets for a live broadcast for Any Questions in March locally so I have my fingers crossed that I will get them as eldest DD and I love a lively debate

I went to the greengrocers today and got a few more veg as my soup Vat is running a bit low so I have almost used up my January budget, but I am pleased that I have actually spent less than normally as I have been using up left over stuff from Christmas also stuff from the freezer instead of going to the shops. I am suprised at how well I have managed and can honestly say I haven't missed the supermarket at all.I still have lots of bits to get through so next month will cut my food purse budget back to £60.00 I think as I have done so well this month.Any surplus left will go towards my summer holiday savings so its an incentive to use up stores that I have instead of going out buying more in
Hope everyone has a good evening and <<hugs to those who are feeling a bit down and blue>>
    Cheers chums JackieO xxx

    Oh by the way.

If I get banned from this site site its because of this thread.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4382647

I believe that Atos will try to have most of us that speak out agenst them removed from this site. As I the past this has been done on other sites. And Atos have even been able to get charity forums closed down In the past.
You can read all about that on the the thread,

    It dose make good reading

Most of you are friends with me on Facebook so we can still chat from time to time.

I don't think that you will be banned halight, there are a lot of very angry people re Atos and the government, including me x

    Well,
If I do then It will be in a good cause,

This site is about Money saving .
Its not a place for people that wont to take money off you!

Would martin have let the banks post here ? defending themselves ageist him when he was taking them to the high court over PPI ?
I think not. Nor should they be posting here when our own MP's are debating about there treatment of people.
40 MP's at the moment but a growing number by the week.
Plus the BBC and Channel 4 and there under cover reports on them. And now a few of the newspapers are starting to ask questions on weather they are a fit company to be doing this sort of work.

It only starts with one, But the number grows
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j
  • I had my opticians appointment and she sent me to the doctor with a letter, the doctor phoned me tonight and I have to go for a fasting blood test, cholesterol check and she has referred me to the ophthalmologist at the hospital, evidently I have had a massive change in my prescription and have blurred vision, that is so bad that I can't see out of my reading glasses and I am having difficulty with most tasks.
Here we go again yet another consultant to add to my list.

    sorry to hear this.

At least your having your moneys worth out of the NHS!

Just think how bad it would be if we had a system like other country's were we would have to pay to see a doctor or have an OP, Blood test. x-ray.
You name it. some country's you have to pay for everything. Right down to to sticking plaster.

At least at the moment its its paid for our our Tax system.
And we can have free care at point of contact.

Monnagran and Lou - nice to hear from you both :DLou, hope the BD goes soon x

    ((((beth and IM)))))

Today has flown by! Work kids in today, got lots done and had fun. I got some good news in work, I'm having a small payrise :j it works out as about £75/month more and it's backdated to October :D.

Then college tonight. I'd decided to actually postpone my course as it's a bit much with work and me not feeling 100%, so I went in early to talk to the tutor but he persuaded me to stay. There are only 8 weeks left of lessons, then one tutorial after Easter. The module we are doing now is same as one of my PGCE ones so for the assignment I'll just have to tweak my old lesson plans for it. I'm determined to finish it. College was actually good tonight, felt like I learnt something.

I had a very naughty takeaway for tea :o but was too tired to cook and felt I deserved a reward.

OS wise - roasted veg couscous taken for lunch, bins put out, LO takeaway will be tomorrows lunch.

    Nos da pawb

We have arrived in Spain safe & sound, but DH left his wallet at the hotel last night, they have found it and it is safe in their safe IYKWIM. Trouble is his driving license, etc., which you have to carry in Spain is in it. Will talk to the travel insurance company in the morning to see if they will organise it to be couriered to us. If not will have to try this myself. Comical really as he is the careful one. Would be worse if we had lost it and did not know where it was.
monogram nice to see you back, you were missed. Lou sorry you and DH having problems and the damn BD has taken hold again. Islandmaid you will miss Baxter for a long time, it will eventually get easier i am sure LW. ((Hugs)) to you, please don't stress CG Glad to seeyou back too, ((hugs)) for tomorrow. Beth and all others having a bad start to 2013 hope things start to improve soon. Halight hope the meds start to suit you. Martin does allow many companies to have an official representative to try to answer queries, and many of them do try to resolve problems, not sure this Rep is doing that, or even answering your questions but the principal is the same. Don't think they will be allowed to close it but they may stop their rep from posting, or to remove anyone not agreeing with them. Jools. Glad you are no longer the "grey lady" :D :rotfl: :rotfl: BB. Hope they sort you out quickly. ((Hugs)), Spoons, Hi-5's, Positive Vibes to you all.
Skye has been very good again on the journey, and is current sat sleeping on DH's knee.
    Take care everyone. DG
