O/S Daily Monday 28 January 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well

Morning everyone
Anyone heard from Monnogran?
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Now getting light here this morning, snow now gone but wet, windy and mild instead!
Still not well, but feeling a little better again today - will just take it steady this week at work.
Lunch yesterday was the beef - beef had beautiful flavour but had quite alot of gristle and fat in it - so a bit of a disappointment. Not sure what we will be having tonight - have different bits in the fridge so will be able to rustle something up - maybe risotto with smoked sausage/bacon/mushrooms in it. Didn't really do much again yesterday - just visited outlaws and then cooked Sunday lunch - all very quiet and chilled.
Back to work for me today - will see what that brings - today will possibly be quite busy as it's Monday and also a lot of mail-outs have been delivered and customers coming in either to dispute/complain/pay!
Keep safe and well x

Morning everyone
Sitting in conservatory with a coffee waiting for sun to come up. It's peaceful and quiet......not a bad way to start the morning if I do say so myself
Just the usual housework, dog walking and tidying up today.
Tea tonight is chicken paella.

Morning all,
Back from Torbay on Saturday, the funeral went as funerals do, it was a bit emotional as it was the same Crematorium where my DB2 was taken.
Y/day I did diddly squat apart from unpacking our case and meeting friends for a lunchtime drink at our local.
Today I'm having DGD2 aged 3 & DGD3 aged 14mths. DGD2's play school have put some of her art work up in the Library so we're going to pop down there and have a proud gloat moment. I spoke to her y/day and she is so excited.
I've stripped our bed and will put wm on when the sun comes out for free solar elec. DH slept in another bedroom again due to his cold he's been coughing all night, I'll strip that bed when he gets up.
Spicey chicken, pots & corn on cob for dinner, I'll make some biscuits with DGD2 when DGD3 goes down for a nap after a lunch of cheese and ham omelette and yogurt and apple to dip in. I've taken spicey carrot & lentil soup out of the freezer for DH's lunch.
Off to catch up on the last couple of days posts.
Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning everyone
Very quick visit just to say hello and hope everyone is keeping warm and safe.
One week unril hospital admission and am starting to stress. No matter how many times I go in, I still feel terrified.
I left a message for IslandMaid last night but it was well after my usual bed time so will say again how sorry I am about Baxter.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all:j:j
Chilly here this morning,
I don't feel too good this morning. I started some new tablets on Saturday to help combat the new headaches that I have been getting. The tablets are not pain killers, They should help to ease what is happening in my head.
I have only just started to take them so I will give it a few more days to get use to them before I decide to go back to the doctors. Im only on a low dose at the moment, I have to up it every five days until I reach the dose that I should be talking. They started me on the low dose and the build up slowly so my body gets use to them. They don't suit everyone. and can have some nasty side effects for some people.
Anyway I will see how I go with them.
Not much going on here really. If It warms up a bit and stays dry I will give the chicken house a clean out. Change the straw that sort of thing. Should only take about 15 mins to do. They have said we will be getting heavy rain today. But at the moment its dry here.
Well I hope that you all have a great day.
Enjoy yourself everyone:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning Nmlc and all,
TTFTM its understandable you feel so stressed about going into hospital. I remember thinking i wish i'd still got my clothes so i could do a runner the night before my last surgery. The fact i couldnt sit back without suffocating didnt come into it at that point. I'd spent a good few years lying on my tum and learning not to lean backwards but i swear i'd have done a runner that evening if i'd got me clothes. The best of it is, 11 years later, i still cant lie back (old habits die hard lol).
Got the men off to work/college thankfully, the place is a tip! Thank goodness hubbys out of town bag has gone from the kitchen as i was beginning to get sick of looking at it. As fast as i'd move it out of sight he'd drag it back out again.
Ive had a headache over the last few days and ive woke up to it again. Thinking maybe its my blood pressure i drag out my blood pressure thingy and cuff only to find the batteries are dead and it looks like someone has taken the spare batteries without telling me. I like them to tell me so i can replace them next time i go shopping. I always like to keep a new set of batteries in the house just in case we run out. I am annoyed about that.
Yesterday i got dragged round car showrooms again. So much for hubby being ill! Still, i got my own back by dragging him round Mothercare.
Emotionally i'm struggling. Life is pretty good at the moment but i'm feeling this overwhelming sense of loss. Theres something missing.
Jobs for today:

Tea will be something quick and easy if this headache doesnt do one.

I believe that Atos will try to have most of us that speak out agenst them removed from this site. As I the past this has been done on other sites. And Atos have even been able to get charity forums closed down In the past.
You can read all about that on the the thread,
It dose make good reading
Most of you are friends with me on Facebook so we can still chat from time to time.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning all,
Feeling a bit blue this morning. Waiting for my new crb to come through before I can do any work with the agency so hanging around like a spare part waiting. Dh hasn't got any work today either so we are both a bit fed up.
Trying not to waist the day. I'm going to do some ebaying and dh is doing his tax returns.
May go to the library later. Easy tea as I have a chilli ready to go just needs pulling out of the freezer.
Hope those with headaches feel better soon
