question for you from my eldest DD shes left her wax jacket hanging up for a couple of weeks and it now has a white patch on the back, has anyone managed to clean anything like that off successfully? ive heard of products for re waxing (i think it was nikwax that you put in the wshing machine with said coat) would something like this work please.

re the lack of hot water and heat.
Boiler can be fixed:T but not untill tomorrow night:(
wlll cost about £150 but was really worried boiler would be condemmed so could have been much much worse.
said to gas boiler fixing man that the emersion didnt work either, but the red light on the switch worked so i knew it wasnt the fuse, he almost burst out laughing when he opened the airing cupboard, the switch that ive been using for 28 years to get hot water when he kids have drained the tank beofre DH has a bath isnt actually connected to the water tank we HAVENT GOT an emersion:o
LOL so embarrising

im on saucepan duty to hopefully get enough water for a bath while DH does the scout and youth council run with the boys.

nikwax doesn't work, you can get a spray which is better. it sounds like it is where it has been wet and then dried.. I'd see what would brush off or wipe with a damp cloth and dry quicker.

Bossy, do you know skint is doing?

I haven't heard since she said they were coming home. Hoping they are having some well deserved rest and little one is ok.

Sorry to hear about your friend moneysavingdiva, before my time, but sad anyway, and I had a little peek at the candles.

Littlies are away to bed, pack up made for tomorrow. Got weighed this morning and I've lost 1lb all month  so my pack up is focused, healthy grub and I'm officially back on the wagon. Just got to finish this birthday cake :rotfl:

Bathrooms done but not been in to declutter playroom. And my eyes are goings fuzzy, I'm so tired. Blowing a hoolie here and smashing down rain. Sorely tempted to go to bed :o

• Sorry ladies, I have been working very hard with Holly trying to keep her jaundice at bay, which mean b00by feeds every 2 hours and then trying to repair the Skint Ritz one brick at a time. EX MIL went home on Friday and the EX was going to take her, but he decided he would rather hang on to see what the midwife had to say....so EX MIL took the bus with the hump.

EX decided to stay for a few more days when the midwife came as said that it was preferred that someone stay in case Holly's jaundice deteriorated.

Today has been a real struggle as Holly seems to be getting more yellow despite me trying to open up the blinds in the LR (unfortunately during EX MIL stay I reverted back to living in just one room and keeping all the blinds and curtains closed) and she has been a lot more reluctant to feed. So I called the hospital midwife team and they are going to come in and see her again tomorrow and then make a decision as to what happens next.:(

I think it was as some point this morning sleep hit a total of 10 hours since we came home on Thursday. But apart from a demon headache I cannot shift I am off the "strong" painkillers yesterday, stitches are out, my glamourous compression stockings are off although my legs are still a little bit swollen, and I can do much more flying at this point after my c section than I could with DS :j although I am very mindful not bust my stitches open by overdoing it :o I will do a separate flying post shortly including what has been done since coming home Thursday - and also some long overdue de-cluttering of the EX's DIY gibble now the stairgate holding back the floodgates has been removed and used for a baby based purpose once again :rotfl:

Right, time for a cuppa, lurk and a proper flying post :D

• Oh, and quickly on a positive note, I am back to my pre Skint Baby weight already - b00by feeding and lack of sleep being the main contributing factors....although waking up to find Mother Nature had given me a free b00b job overnight Thursday morning was quite amusing:eek::p:eek::p, even my old breastfeeding bras were having a struggle, so I might give it a few days then measure up for some new bras off Eb@y

Anti-yellow vibes for the little one. Hope the feeding picks up again, they say that helps with jaundice x
