it is still nikwax I think... just not the washing machine one.. I use it on shoes and bags as well as coats
Skint.. Ds2 had awful jaundice, he looked like one of Mr Wonkas employees! for a long long time .. the lamp therapy didn't touch it. We couldn't have him in the sun as it was about -15'C.
There are different types of jaundice in babies and breast milk jaundice (rather than physiological jaundice which is very common) can last 10 weeks or so .. it may just be that! the enzymes in breastmilk cause the bilirubin to be reabsorbed increasing the jaundice.. in effect feeding more makes it worse but it is completely harmless.
Most decent PCTs have the biliblankets available for use at home so they don't have to have them back in hospital.. you can also hire them.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Stew and dumplings went down well. Thinking of you dragon, the waiting is terrible. I had an abnormal smear a couple of years ago which meant I needed some treatments, but now apart from the yearly smears everything is ok. But at the time I imagined all the worst possible things, I was having panic attacks about my lack of a will. So even if it is bad news, early intervention can lead to really positive things.
I tackled my list with gusto spurred on by how I am being treated at work, so even positives can come out of unexpected things

Gosh, some of you have lots going on - positive encouragement to Dragon and Skint, and thoughts to those who knew MoneysavingDiva - I remember her from previous lurks.
Flying was OK, baby did some crying and sleeping on me so I had to wait for hubby to come home but did manage to get some done then so feeling proud!

Dragon thinking of you and as the others have said don't look on Google whatever you do. Sending positive vibes and let's hope the waiting isn't too long for you and the tests show up some good news when they're done.
Skint mind you don't do too much even though you are feeling better than you did after previous C section. Lovely to hear from you.

Flying = DW on earlier - that is it - really leading by example
Not had the best of days emotionally and nobody in the house is feeling well but things could be a whole load worse.
I need to write a report and don't know where to start. Beginning to think my entire day was not very productive.
Going to make myself do 15 minutes and then let myself give up for today. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thanks for posting, Skint - glad to hear that you are OK, even if Holly is fighting off the jaundice.
How clever of your EX MIL to find a bus with a hump - round where I grew up, it was mostly bridges that had the hump :rotfl:
(((Hugs))) to the Dragon and congratulations to the Newbies who have started the week so well.
We've been out this evening to a history lecture and then DH wanted to call in at the wargames club (we had parked there for free) to see his mates. I was given a 20-minute lesson in Saxon battle tactics... They're all mad as hatters, but quite harmless really
See you in the morning0
