Had a go with my laundry flip flop thingy A la Sheldon Cooper that arrived today- going to make light work of folding in future, but then it all kicked off with HV, so will enjoy some flipping and flopping on Thursday

    -

What is this? I am intrigued, I hate folding clothes :D

    Morning All

Hope you are all well, DH told me he was sorting the kitchen last night & I had to sit done & read my book, so crossed off what he has done. Had a stressful day at paid stuff yesterday & it must have been showing as I was told to sit again when I attempted to clean the Dining Table. I was also very tired, don't sleep well when DH is nightshift :(

DH also put up 2 shelves in the playroom, its all looking spic & span although could do with a new bit of carpet, its cream & the only place DD & DS are allowed to do “messy stuff “ ie play dough, make facemasks, lip glosses, candles, (DD has loads of these type of sets) so has marks all over it!

Ian thanks for popping in, hope you are well x
Skinty– Good luck for Holly today, my DS had tongue tie but the midwife told me they don’t correct it anymore, it only slightly affects his speech.

Hugs spoons etc to everyone in need TTFN x

    Morning all :D

Skint - hope all goes well!

Its paid stuff today and I've been at it since 8am. Just had a quick break for a coffee and something to eat as my tummy was rumbling :o I'm about halfway through stage 2 of 5 but the remaining 3 stages are done per order, rather than each stage individually. Then I have a newsletter to write, and approx 50 books to prep. I will be stopping at 4pm to spend time with DD so I'm hoping to finish sorting orders by 3pm  I'm hoping to teach DD how to meal plan today in a quick lesson. She wants to bake scones on Sunday (thats what they'll be doing in cookery in school) but that requires me shopping I think. :o

I'm not going to attempt to fly today other than dailies (which I'll leave until later) as my livingroom is covered in work stuff :o Its always like this on delivery day, but by tea time everything will be tidy again;)

    Monday: Bathrooms
    Level Three
Descale the toilet and taps - vinegar!
    Hoover and wash the floors

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    Hoover/mop the floor
    Level Three
    Clean the sink/WM drawers
    Extras
Dust any surfaces which need it

Wednesday - Living Room, hall and stairs
    Level One

Wash any throws or cushion covers that need it
    Hoover floors including the stairs
    Level Two
    Clean a window or two
    Clear and wipe coffee table
    Level Three
Declutter anything that doesn't belong in this room
Give all the remote controls and phones a wipe
    Dust the mantle and tv
    Extras
    Eat a frog
    Clean and polish some shoes
recycle any old newspapers/magazines/catalogues (eg Argos)

Right back to it. Think I might have a working lunch, or a much shorter lunch time and save the programme was I was going to watch for when DD has gone to bed. :)

Just decluttering :coffee: and a hot X bun :D

Thanks everyone for all your kind thoughts and moral support this week - it's been very tough at times, but we're working our way through it. DH still hasn't heard anything about the job he was interviewed for, but I think he realises that he is highly unlikely to be offered it because of the restrictions caused by the medication he takes. Deadline on applications for the other job (his is already in and approved) is Saturday, so he might hear something about that early next week - fingers crossed!

Plumber has been and the boiler is now working, the house is warm, and we have hot water :T

Plumber (who is a friend of ours) also recommended a person who will clean our patio. Have rung him - at the moment he's up a ladder cleaning out gutters but will ring me back. Oh no he's not - he's just rung me back and is popping round in 15 min to give me a quote :)

Have S&S'd kitchen and bathroom and tidied round elsewhere, but decided that I work better doing all the vacuuming and dusting in one fell swoop once a week, so that will be done tomorrow while the washing machine is running ;)

Have written a long list of jobs to be done by OJM in the house and garden over the next couple of weeks, and another list for things we can tackle ourselves. The sun is shining today and I'm itching to get outside, but I have a paperwork mountain to conquer before I'm allowed to do that - fat chance of it happening today! But I will go and feed the birds before I start climbing the mountain, as the greedy squirrels have just finished the last of the old fat block. A chaffinch is sitting on the fence and eyeing up the almost empty mealworm feeder, which is currently occupied by a greedy robin. Earlier I saw the wood pigeons clearing up the last of the buggy balls on the patio - normally I shoo them off, but today I let them do the cleaning.

If only flying were as easy for all of us as for our feathered friends... :rotfl:

How can anyone hate folding clothes? I LOVE it.. it is by far the 1 housey task I do willingly. DD1's OH admired my folding a few months back and moaned at DD1 for not folding the same as I do lol. If anyone else touches the clothes I have to refold them all again. Nice folding = no i*r*o*n*i*n*g

Thanks mrs-mp. An even keel seems unlikely for the foreseeable future, what with job applications / enforced retirement and selling/moving house, but I hope that we get some fair winds that won't blow us totally off course and eventually bring us into a calm harbour.

Patio cleaning man has been and is booked for 12th Feb. That fits nicely with my plan of inviting estate agents round at the end of that week or beginning of the following week to value the house :)

Helmet and crampons on, ropes adjusted, and I'm off to scale the paperwork mountain. I may be gone some little time... :rotfl:
