Well, 24 months ago iPhone 4 was really new (released in June 2010). ATM it's just 37 months old.
Your 'new' S2 (released in Apr 2011) will be almost 4 years old in 24 months.

Well this is a really serious reason for upgrading, especially early.
    iPhone 4 weighs 137g
    S3 weighs 133g
    1p coin weighs 3.56g

    LOL

I know you said you are "very impatient" but you should at least hold off until April, S4 is rumoured for release then. You might find the price of the S3 drops then. Or you might find you want an S4 when it it released.

I can't believe you would consider paying £56 for two contracts running side by side. I'd be looking at purchasing the handset sim free.

    .......where from? :D
  • why don't you sell your iphone 4 on Ebay and buy a S2 on Ebay probably not much price difference you may even make a profit, also call Orange and see if you can downgrade your tariff as you are in 2nd year of contract.
