I would love to see who those PPCs are. Are there any insiders from the BPA willing to give us that information?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    From BPA website - interesting

The only problem with that is they don't do anything with complaints of aos members having claims of authority on their websites, after many complaints with direct links to the offending text and images, they are still there and from this so called sanctions nothing has been done.

Complain to the DVLA and Trading Standards.

Other PPCs have been banned from DVLA access for less than that. Ignore the advice to 'do nothing'.
    Je Suis Cecil.
  • DVLA won't ban for an illegal sign. I tried that with TPC and they weren't interested.

Best thing is to keep ignoring the scammers and spend your money on people and things that are worthwhile.

Are you sure about that? ManxRed has said "Other PPCs have been banned from DVLA access for less than that" and I am sure ManxRed wouldn't have written that without having some concrete knowledge of such cases and am sure they will give you a link.

Well from my experience when reporting signs to the dvla. They say thank you very much I have referred this to the bpa on your behalf.

Well, I am a relative newcomer to this forum and my advice was to do nothing as it actually helps having blatantly nonsense signs with "Penalty" and "fine" in the wording - as well as what I thought was obvious that it was a complete waste of time as precisely what you wrote would happen.

However, ManxRed advised OP to ignore my advice as the DVLA had banned other PPCs for lesser offences. Now who am I, as a mere newcomer, to argue with those of greater experience and I am sure that ManxRed will be happy to point to one of the PPCs who have been banned by the DVLA for less.

We should both wait to be enlightened, don't you think? ;)

Al, what did your sign say and when was it reported?

The DVLA have certainly skirted around a few complaints, both before the six PPCs got banned, and some since, but using Penalty and Fine on a sign is a real no no. I cannot guarantee they wouldn't skirt around this, but they'd have to wriggle pretty badly.

Getting a sign with those words on it right now is very rare, and a real gold nugget, and the opportunity to try it on with TS and the DVLA shouldn't be dismissed here.

If you don't try, you don't get.

Contacted DVLA but they didn't want to know. They suggested I contact British Parking Association, and whatever decision they made would be passed to DVLA.

    Here is the 'offending' signage

  • Guy's Dad,

That was the gist of the reply DVLA sent me.
