I'm QUITE SURE that we are not allowed to talk about this sort of thing here, so.....
If the OP chooses to do some research for the sake of knowledge, that's up to him, but we are certainly not allowed to post cheats, cracks or hacks.
Before anyone mentions that I posted Autopatcher
One could argue that I was ensuring that the OPs computer was kept safe until he could rectify the problem.

Don't need Autopatcher with my set up. It updates as normal. It just has a lot of interesting additions.
My Control Panel alone has 20 more items than the standard XP Pro.0 -
Don't know if original poster has solved their problem but pretty sure when the window pops up it also points you to an area where you can purchase product key online and therefore not have to bother re-installing.0

I think they've decided that is too expensive to buy a new product key. better to buy another machine. Follow the thread?0
