I feel your pain, I hope they spend it wisely
What a sensible bunch we all are!
Harrumph. Me too. It's dh's tax bill, already paying heavily in paye. We are lucky enough to be in a position where he pays lots I tax, but not lucky enough to have time or finances to arrange our finances more sensibly. Most of dh's holiday days last year were spent running around for me to medical appointments or helping my parent who was living here and in a 'caring' role for me, do the heavier things and things for the business that I just ouldn't do.
This year I have made an appt to sort this out so we don't end up in this situation next year.
If it had not gone on hmrc it would have been our new back door...ATM we have some hard board over the doorway:o0 -

I save ahead for the bills I know will be arriving, nothing is done on installments as that's my buffer against things going t1ts up. I pay up front, I know it's paid. Job done.
I can only dream of being that organised!
In reality this months was my last Council Tax payment as I have persuaded DH to take it on this year (previously I've paid for everything as he's on a lower income) but enough is enough and this (and next year) are going to be the years I finally clear my debts (you heard it here first folks) :rotfl:
I seem to have been trailing the same amount of debt from one 0% to another for years

Ours will be going to a big gas and electric bill.
Have them both through same company and was submitting meter readings as well as the man coming round to read them. They were not accepting the meter readings for electricity (from us or him!)as they said it was so high it didn't match our previous usage. So they kept estimating them. They fitted a new meter before Christmas and have therefore seen that readings were correct and that they have been undercharging us. So we are lucky that we have this extra to add to what we already budget for bill.13 projects in 2013 0/130 -
I pay my water over 10 months too so my council tax and water money in Feb and March is being transferred to savings to go towards longer maternity leave if my savings stretch that far! xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

The house insurance and my car tax and insurance are in March, so it is already spoken for. Sadly.

Normally we would go visit our friends abroad, but as OH has just been put on 4 days only at work, I am waiting what happens next.
They said it's only till March, if that is the case we could still go but I am not doing anything until they are back to 5 days.0 -
Probably the gas and electric , and if petrol goes up it will help towards that. In one hand and out of the other. Ha ha .0

Like others, the same amount goes into the bills account each month - one twelfth of the total we pay out plus 5% for emergencies and price hikes
so no different to any other month for us. 0
