Wine - always bought when it's on offer from Costco. I dislike cheap wine but this way we can drink posh wine for the same price as a £5 plonk.
Also port. Only ever buy it on offer. And those enormo-sacks of Yorkshire tea, they go on offer at Costco quite often and rolls of binbags.
The offers come around so regularly there's no point in paying full price.Grocery Challenge - February £1000 -
Definately coffee, toiletries and washing powder. I dont spend that much buying cleaning products, i just use bleach, white vinegar, floor wipes (which double up as multi surface wipes for the bathroom and kitchen) a bottle of furniture polish and air freshener, which last months. Wine i buy on offer too, everything else i either buy reduced at the end of the day or half price offers. Ive cut my shopping bill down by a lot (theres only me, and the occassional dinner for my BF). Im saving for a few weekends away and a couple of holidays this year. Every penny not being spent in Mr.As or anywhere else is a penny towards my Holiday Funds.0

crisps, herbal tea, some breakfast cereals, king prawns, washing powder, bog roll, etc''He who takes no offence at anyone either on account of their faults, or on account of his own suspicious thoughts, has knowledge of God and of things devine.''0

Rice
McCoys Crisps - 6 pack
Cooking oil
Soap powder
fabric conditioner
in fact come to think of it nearly everything.
The reason for that is because most items are usually up on offer more times than not so you don't have to wait too long before they do go on sale. Now that supermarkets have been forced into signing up to be more honest it will be interesting which way things will go.0 -
Pepsi, cheese, small and mighty detergent, baked beans, frozen king prawns, Quorn (of any description!)0

Cheese, tuna, tinned tomatoes, toothpaste, loo roll and coffee. I am always a bit suspicious of these special offers though, especially on stuff like tuna that's practically always on offer somewhere. Does anyone really ever pay the best part of £8 for four tins? And since it's on 'half price' offer so much, why not just make it cheaper generally? I can't help but feel that it's a bit of a scam really.0

I don't drink Stella Artois myself but I bet if you do it's always on offer somewhere.0

I tend to wait for a bargain for most things I use all the time, esp washing good and toiletries (shampoo, toothpastes etc). I wait for a good offer and then buy in bulk - surely most of us do this?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
