FB well done on your run, I think we are all going to sign up for the 10k run in Manchester in May which means I need to get back to training with a vengeance. Hopefully we can raise some money for Cancer uk and get fitter at the same time:)

Thanks Julie, I'm contemplating signing up for a 5k in August, but not sure if I'm brave enough to. It's only £6 to enter, and it's one for all people - walkers/joggers/runners etc. I've only ever reached week 5 of C25K before so never run for more than 4mins at a time. But I love the feeling I get from running, and figure I've got 5.5months to train for it......decisions!

    Evening all,
Its the first chance I've had to look at the thread since early morning,so I just wanted to add my hugs for Islandmaid and say how sorry I am.My brother & SIL have an appt at the vets tomorrow to say goodbye to their beloved Molly,I know they are dreading it.We all get so attached to our pets (((hugs)))

Another hectic weekend nearly over,DGD stayed from lunchtime yesterday till 1 today.Took her on the sledge on the playing field across the road yesterday, think she was surprised it had all gone when we had a little walk to the shop this morning :) She seems to be really trying to talk, and copy our words now,and stands at the bottom of the stairs shouting 'Daddy' if he pops to the loo:rotfl:

Used Xmas turkey in gravy from the freezer for tea,DH did roasties, think there is another tray of turkey left yet.Apple pie & custard after, both DSons in and DS2s GF,cleared plates all round.GF is def a good influence as they all set to and cleared the table, washed pans, loaded DW etc:D,done a lot quicker than if DH did it.Plenty spuds left for tomorrow too so that'll save some time.

Right, off to watch CTMidwife now, take care all.Glad the jog went well FB.

    Evening all,
Now seated in a hotel on the border of France/Spain at Hendaye, listening to the rain, avoided the Pyrenees this time, as snow was forecast, and seen quite enough for this year.
Was not too bad this morning until we reached Angouleme, and the rain got really heavy from Bordeaux onwards, which was great as it got dark!

Islandmaid sorry to hear about Baxter, but he took the decision from you which was nicer all round. I am sure you will miss him dreadfully.

Last day of travelling tomorrow, should arrived 6-7pm ish.

    Take car everyone DG

  • A late night visit from me to say to IslandMaid how sorry I am about about Baxter. It's hard to look at the good side at the moment but he was at home with his people and there were no heartbreaking decisions for you. Love and hugs to you and your family.
