  • Good afternoon all,
Islandmaid, so sorry to hear about Baxter. Hugs to you and your family. x
Raining most of the night but at least all of the snow has gone now. Very windy now.
Trying to pick up crochet again. I thought i had the hang of it a little while ago but seem to have forgotten how to do it. I just can't work out how to finish a round and go on to start a new one. It just doesn't look neat. Will keep on trying.
Dinner tonight is roast pork with potatoes and veg.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Islandmaid, so so sorry to hear about Baxter, massive hugs sent to you and I have lit a candle in memory of Baxter, I hope you dont mind.

We have blue sky and dare I say it .....................a bit of sun. Oh and lots of wind as well. But the snow, ice etc has finally gone yippee.
Have 2 loads of bedding on the line and am sitting at the kitchen table watching it, I hang my head in shame;)

Housework done , dinner prepped , washing machine on, dw been on and now emptied. Been a busy busy bee this morning.

Ds3 ended up sleeping right through apart from when I took his antibiotics up to him , so I ended up sleeping in his bed as wasnt awake long enough to even think about swapping beds. He looks much better this morning, has some colour in his face again , so antibiotics are obvs kicking in. He says he cant even remember getting into my bed yesterday afternoon.

Dd has not long got in from her sleepover, said it was a really good night and everyone enjoyed themselves and the cake which had no pics taken of it as she didnt see the message until it had been cut. Never mind , sure I will be making another before to long.

Dinner is roast beef with the trimmings and a apple pie and cream/ custard for pud.

Is it possible to get an ingrown thumb nail??.:o:o

and on that slightly weird question I will love you all and leave you.
    Have safe warm days all.:)

    Hi all

Thank you so much for your kind comments.

We laid Baxter to 'sleep' in the garden today, eldest son dug and we all gathered round to say our final farewells - very emotional, kids really hit by it.

I know, some of you have had much more significant losses recently and my heart goes out to you (Jooles/Unclebryn), I can,t imagine how you felt/feel xx

Ulypool - very touched - thank you

Hugs to all - normal service will resume soon xx

    Afternoon all,

Very sorry to here your sad news Islandmaid hugs for you and your family x

Very busy chez Julie today. Cooked a huge roast dinner and Victoria sponge. Ended feeding both dd and DS 2 and DS 3 plus their partners , went down very were well and just one piece of Victoria sponge left for dh with his supper later:D
Just sat down after a massive clear up. Everyone has gone home, out and dh and I finally relaxing.
Lots of washing done, just need to put it all away. May treat myself to a nice long bath shortly. As others have said amazingly the snow has gone after a good 6 inches yesterday. Hopefully that's the end of it for this year. This is the first time I've seen the pavements since my return from Oz.
FB well done on your run, I think we are all going to sign up for the 10k run in Manchester in May which means I need to get back to training with a vengeance. Hopefully we can raise some money for Cancer uk and get fitter at the same time:)
Have quite a few things finishing on eBay tomorrow so need to get some bags for postage. Will have a scoot round in the loft tomorrow and list some more items.
No more cooking today I am shattered. If anyone wants food they can sort themselves out.
Hillstep going to do my first day fasting tomorrow, just 500 calories:A
We shall see! Have a good evening all J x

Love and hugs Islandmaid - God bless little Baxter xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
