Islandmaid - sorry to hear that, (((hugs))) to you and your family.

Ended up having a very lazy day yesterday so today will be a doing day.

Been up for a while but not actually got much done yet - will jump in the shower and get on in a minute.

However, no cooking for me today :j OH will cook poached eggs for lunch then we are eating out courtesy of Xmas vouchers later.

Weather is very mild but very wet.

    Have a great Sunday all.x

Morning all, sunny and windy here. We had a massive thunderstorm last night and torrential rain so all snow now gone. jack and Loki walked and fed but the rest of the family are still in bed. I need to do school work and then go to L**dl for dog biscuit. WM needs to go on too.
Hugs to all in need. So sorry about Baxter, Islandmaid hugs to you and your family it will be a very sad time as they leave such a hole when they go. Hope everyone has a good day and stay safe and warm if you still have snow. Hope your DH enjoys his skiing Moorhen and well done to JackieO for teaching Danny to cook. :)

    Morning Nmlc and all,

hugs to you Islandmaid. So sorry to hear of your loss. So much sadness on the daily threads these days. Thinking of all of you who have lost people/pets recently. Much love to you all.

We had heavy rain for most of last night and when i got up this morning i was amazed to see that what snow we did have (and we had loads) has now gone. Its 6 degrees here so any more pockets of snow that will be left will be thawing pretty quickly at this rate.

Did well grocery shopping yesterday. £12 at the butchers and £70 at the supermarket which is far better than my last few attempts at grocery shopping. My cupboards are pretty stocked too.

Hubby was up all night coughing and spluttering. He kept me awake but that was his revenge as i kept him awake last weekend with my coughing and spluttering. I am keeping him pretty dosed up on cold/flu tablets at the moment which is keeping the worst at bay (i hope).

Dont know what today holds, roast pork for Sunday dinner, well thats as much as i know.

    Have a good Sunday all,

So sorry to hear about Baxter, Islandmaid.

Well it was a wet and windy night, and showers are still running through. We've just had a hail shower.

At least the snow is gone.

We're not going anywhere today, can't even get out for a walk.

Lunch is an M&S special - salmon stuffed with crabmeat.

    Then eBay, reading, TV.

nothing exciting, life is quiet at the moment, which is a good thing.

    Have a good day

sorry to hear about Baxter (((((Hugs))))) for you and the family xx

It rained all night and it is still raining and it is very windy, most of the snow and ice has gone, apart from the remnants of snow monsters and snow bunnies.
DH wants DD to get her room cleared so that he can finish up in there.
DS has cleaned his room and changed it around, so it is just a case of wallpapering and painting in there.
Then DH wan'ts to do the bathroom, followed by the utility room, kitchen, hall and downstairs loo. The living room and dining room are fine as they are at the moment.
Bless him he has just brought me a coffee:coffee::A
    Dinner is roast lamb

Islandmaid (((hugs))) to you all, so sad when a cherished pet goes.

Lentil soup bubbling away, am currently decluttering coffee as I watch the tennis! If the slush clears I will pop to MILs later as her cousin is visiting today, him and OH were a bit of a double act years ago and he was very emotional at the funeral. Will need to get the ironing pile seen to at some point too.
Have a good day all, hugs where needed!

IslandMaid, thoughts are with you. Never easy to lose something dear to you.

jackieo, i found some "long lost" members of my family through Ancestry whilst doing my family tree. My late Mum was in a tree, it turned out it belonged to my Dad's great niece. I have never met her, in fact the last time i met her Mum (My Cousin?) was when she got married in 1976.

Glad to see the back of the latest snow. Always means hard work clearing paths for the school to open. Never closed during the whole snowy time ( matter of personal pride). some parents were not pleased though. ruined the "snow day" they had planned.
The chickens were not too sure of the fluffy stuff, wouldn't leave their coop until i cleared their run. Now the rain, it's not their week! Still giving me a egg each per day though.

Got Lamb for dinner today, bought from the meat van at the local market. almost at the end of the stock we bought before yuletide. So will need to restock next week.

Sun has come out here, so going to have a tidy round the garden, and measure up the shed to convert it to a chicken coop.

    Have a great day.

    Sy..
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow.. :p

    Morning all,

late one from me, been pottering around, got our bedding in the wm, which can go on the line, its a beautiful sunny day here, after raining all night.

Going to have a quick tidy round then off out with the dog for a long walk, back home, then list some bits on ebay, and pack the parcels to send off tomorrow.

Dinner today is the tacos from fri night, and I must take the meat out for our roast tomorrow, belly pork which is one of my favourites.

    Have good days all xx
  • Whoop I survived my first jog since my operation (well since Nov when I was told I needed the op!) :j :j :j. I did the first run in the C25K programme and to be honest, it felt easier than I expected. It felt soooo good to be out in the fresh air and sunshine :D.
