I can never remember the month rhyme...

Form you hand into a fist

All the knuckles are months with 31 days and all the dips in between are 30 days (except feb obviously) so starting with the knuckle of your index finger you just count along the months in order until you get to July which is the knuckle of your baby finger. For August you go back to your index finger and carry on. December is the knuckle on your ring finger

Blending paint colours, kids love doing this in my art classes. Fun and can be taught to another pretty easily.

Remembering all the planets in order? The mnemonic is 'Most Volcanoes Expel Mulberry Jam Sandwiches Under Normal Pressure' - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. (OK so the last one is no longer technically a planet but it's an old saying )

Does he like drawing? Can he show how to draw Homer Simpson or an animal from the drawing rhymes?

Example a dog is man with no arms gets chased by bees, runs round a pond etc .....

Kids normally like them.

thanks everyone - I will give him some options in the morning and see what he thinks...I have no idea what he might go for but I'd hazard a guess the semaphore will go down well, as will the sign language.

Amazing, I have never managed to get the months of the year and I have got it in a few seconds.

I am so chuffed have battled it for about 30 years I would think.

It had never occured to me that the months mostly alternate between 31 and 30 days.
