I sneaked in a NSD yesterday, starting off my month well. So that's #1 done.
Missed one today because I had a few errands to run in town, then met up with a friend for a pub lunch.
I have some good news though!! On Thursday I was offered a new job!!! A maternity cover teaching post, doing Year One at a lovely school about 30 minutes drive away. Very pleased with myself!Because it's fun to have money!

wildcherry wrote: »Yippee! My NSD#1! I have also decided to draw out of the bank my budget for the month for my planned spends and see if I can do it all with cash. That way just the food shop and DD's come out of my bank account. I've never done it this way before so I wonder if I will be more frugal with my spends if I have to physically get the cash out of the jar!
I do this, take all my food money out at the beginning and divide it up.My next payday is Wed. the 27th,so this month food money is from Wednesday to Wednesday IYSWIM.I find that works well.Hope it works for you.
It's snowing here!:eek:It was forecast but I didn't really believe it as it's been so mild.
I was back at work today and pleased that my back is absolutely fine, touch wood.
And to avoid a dreadful kick up the wotsit :rotfl::rotfl: I'm thrilled to announce #2 for today. Thanks!
PS Congratulations flubberyzing on the job!Sounds great.:)
cw18 That's brilliant for you!:j0 -

Congratulations...I bet you're chuffed to bits. Awww year 1.
Chances are once you're established there you might get asked to do other covers once this one finishes, possibly leading to a permanent position. That's what generally happens at our school. I'm a nursery nurse in year 2.
I'm bagging my NSD 2 as I'm not going anywhere later. I've stayed virtually glued to the sofa all afternoon on here and googling crochet patterns. I feel sooooo lazy. To be fair yesterday I did tidy the garden up. Had some fabulous news this morning regarding a PPI claim which took a phone call and one week later we've been offered £5000. I've added it on the PPI success forum. If there's anyone on here thinking about doing it, don't hesitate, just do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone
NSD # 1 for me today :j:j hoping for another one tomorrow will confirm if I manage it.0 -
February has BIL's b'day next week--not a clue what to get
but nothing a fiver give-or-take won't cover--& flowers for DF whose b'day is unfortunately close to Valentine's Day, meaning the roses will be more expensive than they need to be
It's also the month of saving like a mad thing cuz TV licence, pet, house & motor insurances are all due within 14 days late Feb/early March AND No3 Offspring's b'day end of MarchMind, it was worse when I had to include a bill to :icotbaske for services rendered too (can you tell I'm not particularly fond of this time of year
)
OK..28 days of which I shall attempt 17 nsds please, with no 1 crossed off for yesterday already :T

Great news about the job Flubberyzing
Big warm hugs Beanie - you've really been through the mill recently x
Looking like NSD # 2 today but not declaring yet. Spent the day here cleaning (house hoovered, polished, litter tray cleaned and washing actually outside for the first time this year :j) Oh and ironing done. Bit peevd as a grease stain (must be from cooking) on a pair of joggers that I thought I'd got out last night (soaked in coke) is still there - better than it was so another soaking to come but frustrating nevertheless.
Can't believe some of you poor things are still having snow, lovely sunny day today - snowdrops out and it does feel like spring is coming at last.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
