  • Perhaps it would have been better to ask the op why they thought the buyer was a nightmare, rather than jump in with a judgement, telling them to get a grip...

Lol, you are all out tonight!

Why should I ask why the seller thought a buyer asking for a return was a nightmare!

I'm not interested in their feelings, just what they posted.

Another (or perhaps the same) poster that needs to read before they spout.
  • Jeez, this isnt mumsnet. You come on here for advice. Your buyer says you sold them something SNAD, you need to take a return.

    Not difficult.

    Let's hug.

she did indeed have a grip and the result was she got an unfair neg (IMHO).

She had a grip? On what? Not on reality.

Yes, she DID have a grip as she knew what she hadn't told us: the buyer was a nightmare as they had already started texting multiple time s etc.
The OP was the only person who knew what 'reality' was in this respect.

This was later proven (IMHO and most others I'd bet) in that the buyer accepted the goods in any case.

Once again: the OP had accepted she needed to accept a return from the first few answers on this thread: it was then the buyer who wouldn't accept the return and frankly you can draw your own conclusions from that.

I can't see many people accepting 'used' makeup once they'd already made such an issue about it: IMHO the moment the OP demanded the goods were returned before a refund would be given the buyer knew they wouldn't get the goods with a refund also and gave up, deciding just to neg.

Maybe it's just me but if I started to make a fuss about goods especially those with a 'hygiene issue' being misdescribed I'd not just let it go whether I could neg or not.
Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.

So, we disregard the OP as he/she forgot about 17 texts  but we believe them because they say the buyer kept the item and did not want to return.

Perhaps the OP just said they got a neg, perhaps the buyer insisted on a return? Perhaps the OP said NO RETURNS.

    Who knows?

    But the OP was clear.

When you hang around here long enough, you realise the OP tends to change. Although TBH it is usually to add they are ill, dead or disabled.

It is a pity some contributors to this thread kept their fingers off their keyboard until they could contribute something helpful to the problem posted.
Making a completely inconsequential judgement call on the O.P. is non-productive and a waste of everyones time.
To put it bluntly - if you can't help solve the problem of the original poster, then keep quiet.

Well yours was a helpful contribution.

If nothing else, the OP now realises that giving half a story is no help at all.

Well yours was a helpful contribution.
I refer you to post number 2.

When people first post a problem they sometimes are not sure what to include or leave out.
Those who genuinely want to help, will then ask for more relevant information. What they don't do is immediately attack the O.P because of these omissions telling them to get a grip. This is a sure fire way of stopping other, novice users, from asking for help.

Yes, did I not say that yours WAS a helpful contribution?

I am not sure how telling the OP to get a grip on how she refers to her buyer (with no evidence of it in the OP) is in anyway an 'attack'.
There is absolutely NOTHING in the OP to suggest she had a nightmare buyer or the buyer was dodgy. Inexperienced maybe.
