Think it also needs to be a portable device, so unplugging the laptop and running it off the battery when watching live TV and plugging it in when watching iplayer should be ok.

 disinformation. You would still be watching a "live broadcast" and would therefore be liable to purchase a TV license

Whether the second part is true or not, the first part should stop them finding you. I suspect a halls of residence address would make them think twice about a visit, though it won't stop mailings to "the occupier of room xx, Halls" in the hope that you will pay.

I've got a drawer stuffed full of letters from TV licensing :D

had to laugh at last night chosen topic. We had a winterdykes when we were wee but I tend to call it a clothes horse now. We also had a lobby (hall) and a stairheid windae on the tap landin. Racking my brains to remember what we called the close which ran inbetween the 2 houses tho.

Hope everyone is well and taking good care of themselves

    Morning all:A

Just thought I would quickly pop in and have a catch up.:D

My DD has never had time to watch tv lol but she has said everyone watches on their laptops. HTH.

I didnt get one as DS didnt want a tv and same as you say JS he doesnt have the time to watch.I know he watches the odd thing on iplayer and they have a huge tv in the common room where they watch big events and stuff. What him and his friends all seem to do is get together a lot and have a film night and watch DVDs:)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
  • Yay - all caught up - only because my day out has been cancelled - friend's daughter got concussion at training last night, so is off school, feeling grotty. (Breathes sigh of relief it wasn't my DD who caused it) So, I'm sat here, still in PJs, freezing cold, coffeed-up and dithering between warming up in the shower (which could well run cold at this time of day) or slipping back into bed with Mr Reacher!!!!!:o:eek::T

Did a Muller shop this morning, I bought 30 at 65p each. The multibuy has only taken off £2.10 and £1.20 when it should have taken off a total of £7.50. Can’t believe I didn’t notice this at the checkout but I’ll be back later to collect my £2 gift card from CS. Has anyone else had an incorrect multibuy on Mullers? Might be worth to double check if you’ve bought them recently.

Really? I've just paid my license:eek: I hate paying it (doesn't everyone? LOL) as I don't even watch telly! only once in a blue moon! I prefer the radio.

Morning all. We have had it all in N@rfolk this morning, rain, sleet, snow and now the sun is shining. I wish it would make its mind up :D. Nope I tell a lie, it has started snowing again.

Tinyshoes, my heart goes out to you. I hope your mum is comfortable and that you get plenty of time to talk to her. My prayers are with you both.

Glad to hear that Alfie is on the mend bless him.

Going to go out to do a yogie shop later, my first glitchy shop since before christmas so looking forward to it.

DGS is staying with us at the moment and managed to lose his iphone yesterday. Fortunately it is insured but we have to sort that out today.

Anyway lovelies, hugs to all especially those needing them, enjoy your day. I am going to do some more catch up now x
