Littlewoods issues

Hi guys,

This is complicated but i will try and make it as simple as possible! i placd a order online for a computer system from littlewoods and heres whats happened so far

- Computer was delivered sat 12th jan
- Webcam and speakers were missing so called littlewoods who said i had to call hewitt packard and ask where they were
- Called hewitt packard on jan 14th who said they didnt supply the speakers or webcam and that littlewoods should have. gave me a ref number for littlewoods
- Called littlewoods and gave them the ref number. The customer service advsior looked at the ad and said she would contact another department and that within 10 days we would find if they could send them out and if not that i could return it
- 10 days passed so called on 25th of jan only to be told "the advert dosnt say you get a webcam or speakers" and on checking they have changed the advert!
- They said they can only look into it if i have proof the advert has changed they have totally ignored all what has already been said and done before and said i wont be able to return the computer even if the advert is wrong as i have opened it!

Any advice?

I should add as well the reason im so annoyed i have no speakers yet is i have no sound! haha as the monitor does not come with inbuilt speakers as the high spec system with 7.1 digital sound is ment to have high quality speakers ( thats what hewitt packard said )

There is also an interesting customer review at the bottom of the current page (which I'll quote in case it mysteriously disappears) -

Never even switched it on, the listing said it came with 2 external optical drives, speakers and a webcam which i did not get,

The review is dated 29/12, so I assume it's not you flightboy - looks like you're not the only one who had the problem.

Oh dear Littlewood's that's very very underhand...

I am not sure if I was a customer I would want to deal with you again after being so sly about a complaint.

They have failed to perform to the contract - it's a simple case. I am sure they will honour it but if not then just take them to small claims. You will win. Even starting small claims will probably make them take action... good luck

OP, please come back and update when this is resolved. I'm sceptical when retailer's attempt to take issue offline

thanks for the link and advice guys im going to email where the littlewoods rep told me to as well and i will report back when it is resolved ( or if its still not )

And as regards to the reviews there was also 2 more after that one ( one was mine ) that when the advert was change vanished....

Did you get the 2 external drives as well??

It would look like someone at Littlewoods has mixed up the listing with a laptop, as a webcam and altec lansing speakers could be expected on a laptop and 2 external optical drives if the laptop didn't have a dvd/bluray drive built in.

No i didnt, 2 external optical drives is wrong, 3 internal HDD is wrong ( there is only 2 ) no HP TrueVision HD Webcam and no
Altec Lansing speakers so for the last two weeks i have had no sound
