Whilst I don't agree at all with an NRP trying to dodge paying CM, sometimes desperation sets in and folk do what they have to, to survive! Without going into details, if I'd have been earning a decent wage, we'd have given serious consideration to oh giving up work, as we were made almost homeless because of the CSA! We could then have paid what we could afford, not what the CSA think we could afford. (I'm talking about CSA 1 here, CSA 2 is far fairer)0 -

This is exactly what predicament we are in. Im just looking at all available options. Weve cut back everywhere else as much as we can but still not enough.0 -
Nobody has mentioned the IVA the father also has. This could be the real reason they have little money.
I think it unfair that his 2 older children should lose out because his lifestyle got him in debt.
You knew he had 2 children by 2 different mothers and an IVA when you had this child, and now moan you have little money.0 -
Well thanks for the help people have given me.
And to the nrp and nrpp haters - your opinions were not really approprite to my question. But thanks for the reading material.0 -

hmm...you're prepared to commit fraud to get out of paying a debt for the upbringing of a child and you question other people's ethics?0 -

OP, you the one who started going about how the pwc and her partner should be supporting the children and how csa is making your child suffer.
I totally agree with the above. If your child suffers, it will be because of both your partner and you accumulating debts. That's the problem. The csa doesn't take debt into circumstances. You are expected to support yourself without building debts. If you do, you should look at clearing these up before deciding to have children.
I understand your desperation, but not why you are putting the blame on the csa of the pwcs rather than on yourself and your partner.0 -
The way I see it is that OP was asking about the fact that the CSA wanted her wage slips and she is concerned abouth the effect of this as she does not want to pay for other peoples children.
Her wages have nothing to do with the CSA and they ARE other peoples children Fact!.
If she does not declare her wage slips they will assume she can pay half the rent, if she declares her wages the PWC is sent a copy of the final assessment showing her OH wages and then joint houshold income, not rocket science to work out her wage which should be no ones businness but her's.
I declared mine and in effect saved £5 per week, this £5 was not worth having the PWC know my bussiness.
Speculation on how her OH got into debt is irrelivant to the question, also as far as I am aware there are no laws in this country restricting someone having a child if they want one, and none of this has anything to do with her wage's being declared to the CSA anyway.0 -
I couldnt have said that better myself. Thank you.0
