Tried to buy a specific whisky yesterday but was gone before I could. Very annoyed.0

6AF days please Shaggy which includes an early declaration for tonight as I am driving and 5/5 SNC including last Sunday. So glad I didn't give in last night as it puts me back on course after my tipples on Thursday.
Am trying the Slimming World diet again as I would like to lose 10lbs before I go on holiday on July 26th.
Would like to lose a total of 17lbs by Christmas:eek:
Perhaps staying off the booze will speed it along a bit. Put a pacer on my phone this morning and then went for a 7500 step walk. A good incentive and free to boot!
Happy weekend to all
Kind regards

Staying off the booze helps big time, especially if you can put together a few weeks booze at a time. I always find the real benefits kick in a month after. Your goals sound very achievable too - some people have massively unrealistic expectations.0 -
All this talk about alcohol messing with the head has reminded of a discussion I had with my DH last night. We put on a DVD that we have watched in the past (a series, not a film) and he said we could start at the beginning, as I couldn't remember what had happened.
I am not very good at remembering what I have seen and always just put this down to a poor memory, stress etc. I then had a stark realisation concerning the real reason. As my DH pointed out, I was usually drunk on a Friday night so didn't retain anything! I would drink beer, wine and finish off with a Baileys/port at the end of the night.
Hearing him say it was like a slap in the face. I am so, so, so glad I have found this thread. I have now watched several films on AF Fridays and can remember them! Hooray for all of you good, good people!
Thank you all
Kind regards

Thanks for that Boss. Its good to know I am not chasing unrealistic goals, and that it will help without the booze. I will give it a few weeks and hope to see the benefits.
Kind regards

Drinking tonight - the usual amount (a bottle of wine) and I'm already dreading waking up tomorrow.
Can't wait for tomorrow and I can start being AF again:j
I'm going to make an appointment next week to see the GP. I think I'll see the male half of the partnership, he has been spotted in the street with fag in hand so he may be a bit more forgiving of human weaknesses
Good night tonight, the children didn't go to bed until 10 but all immediately crashed out - result

ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
