Thanks all, you're all so supportive :)

Counting down 'til Friday when I can just go and get it off my chest to my therapist.

Well done everyone on your AF days :) xx
  • Hi, my son is doing my head in. I'm not going to drink though, because two wrongs don't make a right. Just trying to keep calm, yet another night in alone with the kids, while my other half goes out with the real world. Hey-ho. So it'll be another AF night hopefully but I won't post my score till tomorrow, don't trust myself yet lol.

I had Becks Blue last night and quite enjoyed it. Nice to enjoy a drink without feeling tipsy![/QUOTE

Try the one from Asda 4 for £1, I like it better than Becks with a dash of lime

Thanks for that! I don't get to Asd0 often but next time I will give it a try.

    16 AFD please Shaggy. x
  • 2 more for me please Shaggy so 12 in total so far.

1 for the SNC too Mackeroo. Thanks for your encouragement and although you say you haven't completed a challenge I see you can
be very moderate in your drinking and have just a glass or two so I'd say that's an achievement in itself.

Very well done Jak. that's a great achievement.

Lilith I was very sad to see your news and hope seeing the therapist will help you.

Can I set a target of 20 for February please Shaggy?

Back to work today, it's not a nice place to work at the moment, but it's a job.

My head is much clearer and I can think much better though.

Going out for OH birthday on Friday, just for a pub meal and drinks, I am going to see if I can control my drinking though, I will let you all know how I get on.

    Have a good week everyone

28 af and 30 in total!
Good luck Julie and I really hope work improves for you X
This week folks, I am making an effort to meet with new sober friends for coffee and lunch rather than moping about over old 'friends' who appear to not have even noticed i've dropped off the face of the earth. I'm obviously not important to them as I've said no to every invitation(cause the all involve drinking or hideous situations for me right now) for 30 days as not one has asked if im ok etc. It's time to move on and make a clean sweep of it now. I have a few friends who have made the effort, and clearly, they are the ones I will be staying in touch with. The saga of school Mummies will continue to do my head in BUT I'm going to try and take steps to minimise contact with the toxics and focus on myself and my son instead. This week i'm making NEW plans!!!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
